What was your upgrade offer and what did you bid

Ok I have a question:

I have two rooms booked a Balcony and a Inside Cabin. We are total 4 people I am on a casino comp.

I got the bid, and was going to bid for a haven that has room for 4 people. That way if my bid wins, I will cancel with small fee, the inside cabin and put us all in one room. It is my husband, me, son and friend to help with my son.

 

I keep re-reading and don't know if I get an accepted offer, that I can add the additional 4th person. I did speak to someone and she said yes, but the room I would cancel I would only get 75% back. But on the website in terms and conditions it states something different. That any changes to the itinerary after the bid is accepted is term. So who is right?

 

Has anyone changed there room added someone after winning a bid?

It cannot be used for DSC, which in IMO stinks. But that's the way it is. There are only the 2 of us so we don't need any extra SDP. I already have a perk for 10 free pictures with my booking. We are going GSC, so I could check into a villa there, thanks for that tip. Otherwise I will be spending more time than I like in the casino as the OBC can be used there.

 

 

 

Well that solves that because we all gamble and will have no problem using it[emoji15]

Yes I added 3 people to the 3 bedroom villa on Dawn after an upsell before the new bidding was implemented. Was able to add people to the Cabin for a total of 6

10. If I have two reservations can I bid only once and if accepted, cancel the second reservation and move the guests into the upgraded cabin?

 

No, if you have two cabins you will need to submit two separate bids and they will be considered independently. NCL cannot guarantee that both reservations will be upgraded. In the case that one of the reservations gets upgraded, you cannot move the other guests into the upgraded cabin. All reservations cancelled within the penalty period will be subject to cancellation fees.

 

 

 

A CAS comped booking you can cancel at anytime you may lose the taxes/admin fees paid.

78 days out I was offered the bid from OV to either balcony or mini suite. I am on jade 11 day panama cruise. Minimum bids were 65cdn for balcony or 95cdn for mini suite. I bid 380 cdn for mini suite and didn't bid on the balcony. I would have gone lower bid but when I went to enter my bid the 380 was prepopulated. On the scale the 380 was between fair and good. After 8 days I decided to bid 100 cdn on a balcony. I also assessment 10 to my mini suite bid. My goal was to get something even though I had been completely happy with my OV.

After two weeks I got the mini suite for 390 Canadian.

There were 15 mini suites available and almost 20 balconies available when I put in my bid. My OV category was sold out. I don't know if that is relevant or if my bid was just high enough. After my bid was accepted the mini suites are sold out and 8 OV cabins were available.

I found something interesting. I just did a mock booking on NCL and another travel site for a sailing a little over a month out. I picked BB, but when I it shows the page to pick your cabin all that shows is BX. There is no way to pick your balcony cabin. You can pick your cabin if you are staying in an OV or The Haven.

 

Could this have anything to do with the bidding on upgrades?

Hi everyone: So there hasn't been much posting lately on upgrades into the Haven. Please share with me what you were upgraded to and how much your bid was. So excited to be sailing in December on the Getaway and hoping my bid is successful:)

I’ve kept track of every upgrade using this thread, and now that I’m 9days from the upgrade email I’m feeling desperate. Lol

Hi All -

 

New to cruising and have been trying to use this thread and many others to figure everything out! Thanks for all the info everyone has posted!

 

Just out of curiosity has anyone heard about bids being excepted for the Norwegian Pearl cruise leaving from New Orleans on December 23rd? I received the email and placed a bid on a balcony room and while I figure there is probably a lot more time before we'll hear based on what I've seen thought I'd at at least check to see if anyone else is bidding/has heard back?

18 days out and still waiting. Spoke to my TA today and she could only find a upgrade priced almost 500.00 for 2. To rich for me,lol. But said I should not bid any higher as probably will get it. Im in the fair range and at the most I will go as Im happy with my original booked room. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope to get it sooner than later, lol.

The lowest price I have seen to bid on a Haven Suite is $400.00 per person:)

Well, I've heard that some people get a balcony for 50.00 I think that is a fabulous win!!!

Friends of ours just got an upgrade on the 14 day Getaway transatlantic crossing for later this month for $75 each. They were originally in the cheapest inside cabin possible.

My sailing is 30 days out. I just found on today that some offers have been accepted. This was an offer from inside to Balcony. I have not heard anything on anyone getting an offer accepted for The Haven. There a quite a few Haven cabins still available so I am still hopeful.

I’m leaving on 10/31 on the Gem. Still no idea where we’re going but got my upgrade on Friday! Went from OC to BC for $75 a head. Bid was right on the line between poor and fair. Awesome honeymoon upgrade!!!

 

Congrats! Wow, that is amazing that you have no idea where you are going in few weeks. I guess they are still hoping for some of the ports to be open. GL

I just put in a bid for an H7 forward facing penthouse.....cruise is 27 days out....now we wait..lol:rolleyes:

 

I also did for my sailing. Did you check to see how many are still available? I went back and checked and all Aft and Forward Haven cabins are sold out. So I also bid on a H5.
