Do they give you a lanyard with the Sail and Sign card? or where do people keep them?

I don't know why, but I don't see the picture.

ETA I googled Carnival Casino coiled lanyard and found several pictures. I agree that if this is the Casino lanyard, I do not want it.

My bra

Yup! Works great!

Hi,

yes, this is our first cruise - Just wondering if I should buy lanyards ahead of time or if they give you one when you board? OR is there something better to keep the sail and sign cards in? I was thinking I might want some sort of cross body waterproof type tiny bag to carry both phone and card in?? there was a bag on the Carnival site I saw but I am wondering what the best way to go is ...

I really don't care what anyone else thinks if I choose to wear my card on a lanyard around my neck. If someone doesn't want to wear one themselves, fine, but I don't think people should look down their noses or call people "dorks" if they wear one.

One thing I've noticed is that darned if you do, darned if you don't.

You should just be sure that wherever you store your S & S card that it is no where near your phone. The magnetic stripes deactivate sometimes when stored near a phone. I have no idea why but it has happened to me many times. I just keep my card in my back pocket or in a small crossbody purse I take on vacations.

Never had a problem with the magnetic strip being deactivated by the phone. I keep my credit cards in a wallet with my phone. Most likely the sea pass was demagnetized by the magnet clasp on the bag. This happens to my wife when she carries it in her evening bag. Now I just hold both in my pocket.

Cruise Critic sells a nice one with a ring on it. It also detaches so is only a shorter fob with the ring. You go to Pursers and have them punch a hole in it. I do not wear it around my neck, but loop it around a belt and put end in my pocket. Detach it easily to pay for drinks or whatever and rest of hanging lanyard helps to remind you to get it back.

Lanyards with plastic holders can be a real pain to take it out. Do not carry a wallet except off the Ship. Wife attaches hers to her pool or beach bag so is handy and secure.

Hi! First let me say that I hope you enjoy your first cruise and that it will be the first of many. No, unfortunately, you are not given one when you check in. However, they are available for purchase onboard all of the ships. You can buy them at the gift shops on the ship. There is also tables that are often set up on the ship as you board and out near the pool through the week.
