Do they give you a lanyard with the Sail and Sign card? or where do people keep them?

I've not heard of this ... enlighten me please.

Behind the Fun is a 4 hour tour of the ship where they show you just about everything from laundry room (my wife was fascinated by the giant sheet-drying and folding machine) to kitchen (get some neat sweet samples of cookies and other things) up to the bridge where you can get a picture with the captain (included in the price as is all other photography since you are absolutely forbidden to even bring your phone or a camera with you on the tour) and almost every other non-passenger area in between. There is a LOT of walking, it's pricey (but I thought well worth it), and you must follow their instructions and wear closed toe shoes. You get some nice souvenirs at the end and even a little snack lol. Oh and you can only sign up for it once you board and space is limited and goes pretty quickly so figure out if you plan to do it and go sign up as soon as you board (we went to guest services but you may have to go to the excursions desk - I think it depends who's working that day lol)

Ha! If you knew how much I love pizza you might not be surprised how close I am to looking for one of these....

We got a couple of "Free" lanyards in the casino.

But.... be warned..... when mine got wet, it stained my shirt pretty badly.

When we got home, we tried Oxyclean & , Spray-n-Wash, and washed the shirt 4 times and the stain lightened up a little, but would not come out.

You may be better off taking along your own quality lanyard rather than risk messing up your clothing.

We like using lanyards for our S&S cards. It's a matter of convenience. I really don't give a hoot what others think. If you're looking for something unique, take a look at the ones on Bigdogboutique dot com. I got four from there that are beach themed. And, if you don't want to shop for lanyards on line, both Lowes and Home Depot sell lanyards. They're usually either close to the key cutting area or the cash registers. I've also seen them at several stores, including Walmart, Hobby Lobby and Michael's.

I don't wear one. Its kinda tacky to me imo. I dont wear my credit cards and debit cards around my neck so why would i with my s&s card? Seems kinda juvenile imo. No offense to people who do it, just not for me

Agree Tenn....altho kids and women can get away with a lanyard. Grown men wearing a lanyard with the S&S look like dorks....Put it in your pocket ;p

Man I looked like a dork LONNNGGGG before I put a lanyard around my neck. But at least I have convenience and peace of mind.

Although I've seen at work here a pretty nifty contraption that basically looks like a small tape measure but it's a long, retractable lanyard/tether that people are putting their ID badges on and then clipping the thing to their belt. It can easily extend far enough to reach the badge scanner in the elevator so I figure it can reach a stateroom door. I might have to look into one of those. Why do something simply when you can add mechanical complexity to the job?

I got a set of 6 basic lanyards on Amazon for $10. Not fancy - nothing special - but functional. I also have a very pretty rainbow colored Carnival lanyard that I purchased on my last cruise. Personally, I like them as I don't carry a purse when I'm walking around the ship.

Our son wears a lanyard that he got from Camp Carnival because he is likely to drop the card or set it down somewhere and forget it. My husband puts it in his pocket. My cellphone case has pockets for cards so that's where I put mine. I have also used my bra as other posters have pointed out. :D

I have lots of lanyards, from conventions, concerts and music festivals, etc., so I wear my Federal work ID card on a Carnival Behind the Fun lanyard, my Sail&Sign card on a music festival lanyard, etc. I enjoy mixing things up and looking somewhat unique. :)

I list "lanyard" on my Official List of Things To Bring On A Cruise so I'm not likely to forget one, but if I did, I'd get one for free at the casino. Bonus: they're coiled so they extend really easy, which is handy for slot machines and those "cash-claw" games. :)

I noticed at the Fun Shop on our Dream cruise in January that they had some "blingy" looking lanyards...I was almost tempted to buy one.

I really don't care what anyone else thinks if I choose to wear my card on a lanyard around my neck. If someone doesn't want to wear one themselves, fine, but I don't think people should look down their noses or call people "dorks" if they wear one.

DH wore his on a lanyard, but this cruise I chose to just put it in my back pocket or when lying in the sun on a lounger it gets thrown in my tote bag. On elegant nights I carried a clutch purse and put it in there along with a few other necessities. I used to wear a lanyard but got tired of tucking it under my shirt when we were walking on deck and it was windy and blowing the lanyard around.
