Why book at mini suite if no suite perks?

We paid the same we would have for a balcony. Also got all the perks offered thru NCL. the room is a bit longer and the bathroom much larger.  shower larger  double sinks more space this is on the Bliss

Check the price difference between the two catagories of suites and you will have your answer as to why a mini suite does not get the same perks as regular suites.

The OP got an answer 2 1/2 years ago when they asked the question. They probably don’t care 2 1/2 years later.

Original question did not specify NCL, many, yourself included, mention other cruise lines on this board.

I've seen some TA's list mini-suite as a 'suite' category which is totally mis-leading - especially to someone who is not familiar with NCL cabin categories.  It is an expanded balcony cabin. There is a substantial jump in price between a mini-suite and a 'suite'.  If you can afford a few extra bucks to upgrade from a balcony, a little more space is always nice.
