If you have health issues or not, this is topic you should discuss with your primary care medical specialist.

Absolutely correct. I work for a family physician and this is our recommendation. I also suggest going to the travel clinic, not sure if this is something you have in your area but where we live they're brilliant. They know the exact outbreaks in any given area.

We had to have Yellow Fever shots for our Amazon River cruise. But strangely, I think it had something to do with visiting Devil's Island, not Brazil. And they were EXPENSIVE.

As far as I know, nothing needed for the Caribbean. I keep thinking we should get Hepatitis but just never got around to it.

The OP is asking about the British Isles...

This is a question that you should be asking your primary care physician. Ordinarily the only shots recommended are the normal shots that you should be current on such as tetanus, hepatitis, mumps/measles/whooping cough, influenza, etc.

You won't need any vaccines for Europe/British islands; can always check the CDC and there's a travel advisor. I've traveled to Mexico, all over Caribbean, Europe, and turkey and none suggested vaccines. Only trip I've needed specific vaccines was to tanzania; think some South American and Asian countries will also require vaccines.

CDC website also has a tool to determine what vaccines would have been routinely administered to children by year. So like, everyone gets hep A now, but not when I was a kid so I had to get that.
