casino and drinks

Recommended Posts

You first have to play in the casino with your sea pass and earn points to get free drinks or be a prior member of the Casino Royale VIP. See the casino host when you board. Their program has been changing.

You do not need to gamble HUGE sums of money. Points earned are based on time played and on coin in and out (for slot machines). So can end up playing a fair amount of time IF you are having a good night.

You can't just sit down at a slot machine and be served free drinks like in Vegas. There, if you don't like the payouts you can walk to the casino next door so they give you free drinks to keep you there. No such issue with the ship casino. You are a captive audience.

Never have seen these. You must have been on a TA were very few people play seriously. Lol

The casino host has a whole desk full of these and they give them out pretty frequently. I know I did a slot pull last year where the host was very generous and gave us about 10 tickets for our participants.

I'm not sure what ship you were on but I spend a lot of time in the casino playing cards and I rarely see them given out randomly. I get all my drinks for free based on my play on my last cruise but many players playing with me pay for their drinks.

Giving out 10 to each slot tournament participant makes no sense since they're paying $25 or $35 to enter the tournament but being given $100 in free drinks. I'm not saying this didn't happen but it's very rare.

A ticket may be worth $10 to you but that drink is only costing the cruise line about a dollar. ,

I think what they meant was 10 total for the participants.

Rhapsody, we both got 10. [emoji2]

Funny thing was, once we started using them, some of the waiters quit asking for them.

They liked the $2 tips. [emoji6]

Yea, it was slow. Dealers didn't even want tips. Said they weren't going to hit the minimum, so Royal Casino was going to have to fund the contracted minimum

I'm sure it's even lower than that. And that 50 cents they "give away" to you probably equals at least $20 back to them in casino play while you drink it.

You get these on virtually every RCL ship these days if you qualify! :D

I would think if you "Qualify", you would have a CR VIP sticker on your SeaPass card, which would entitle (I hate that word) you to comp drinks in the Casino.

We have had the Casino Host send Wine to the room. I play a lot on Tables and have not seen these passed out. Obviously they exist, just never needed one for myself.

I think the use of "free" should be "comp" drinks.

They are different on every ship. Some use a punch card and some use a card that the server checks off.

This is true regarding the sticker, yet many of the ships also give out the vouchers along with the sticker on your Seapass card, go figure?...K.O.

I'm not familiar with a punch card or a card that the server checks off. Is this in lieu of the sticker on your sea pass card or is it something else?

I believe it $5 to 1 point. So if you are having a good night it can add up. The $5 is the wins on the machine, not just money you put in. So Everytime your machine registers a win it goes toward it. This is for machine play.

Does anybody know how much coin in or chips played it takes to earn a point?

I don't play Slots but for those that do, your points are loaded onto your SeaPass card and you should be able to keep tab on your points.

Table play is based on $ avg per bet over time.

You may always ask the Pit Boss of Casino Host for you running point total. Generally it is calculated around 8pm ships time each day.
