Rare C-Dragons Posted January 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2018 Yes, X made that announcement around noon yesterday. There will be 4, “preview” cruises departing Nov. 21, Nov. 24, Dec. 3 and Dec. 6.
Mynki Posted January 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2018 I'm not at all surprised by this? Other X ships have done exactly the same thing previously.

Ox Fan Cruiser Posted January 3, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted January 3, 2018 The Edge will be having sea trails at the end of this month according to Lloyd555. I believe he said that the Symphony of the Seas will have sea trials. The Edge is just moving to another spot.

Pushkin Posted January 6, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 6, 2018 I just saw this thread and immediately called Celebrity. The agent said that he sees the 3-day cruises on the system, but that they are not open for public booking - he said travel agents only. Is this correct based on what others have heard on this post?
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 6, 2018 21, 24, 3, 6 can't be the right dates, can they?
Pushkin Posted January 6, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 6, 2018 The Celebrity agent told me there were 3 dates, the first being November 24th.

Is this correct based on what others have heard on this post? I called X on the day they announced the changes for Edge, looking for info about the 3 day cruises. They said that the revenue dept. had not yet opened them for booking but they would be open on Monday. My TA also called and was told the same. Other posts by CC members have reported the same info. Rare C-Dragons Posted January 6, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 6, 2018 21, 24, 3, 6 can't be the right dates, can they? I noticed the gap between the first two dates and the last two. Perhaps X will be hosting TA's and the Press then?

When I questioned the agent mentioning cruise critic threads, he was adamant that he was correct and cruise critic was not. We will see. Historically, I have received more accurate information from cruise critic then celebrity! [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

She will make her official debut on a new 7 night Western Caribbean cruise departing Ft. Lauderdale on December 9th 2018".

bookitdanno Posted January 8, 2018 #17 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Apparently these "Preview Cruises" will double as reveals. Celebrity seems unwilling to inform those who are booked on the ship what exactly it will look like!!! Carrying "Trust Me" to a whole new level! ;)
lola2013 Posted January 8, 2018 #18 Share Posted January 8, 2018 My friend and I just booked a sunset verandah for 11/24...so excited to experience this new ship! We've been to the Bahamas many times...we may just stay on the ship the entire time!

Carrying "Trust Me" to a whole new level! ;) Funny! :D I went "over the edge" this morning when I booked the 2 first preview cruises (who knows if they will actually stay first), knowing these would not likely be typical cruises for us. It take a certain amount of trust, but the surprises will be part of the fun, I guess.
seacruise9 Posted January 9, 2018 #20 Share Posted January 9, 2018 Hi, I decided to book the Nov. 24 preview cruise today. I booked a "Single Stateroom with Infinite Veranda." I have been to Nassau many times, but I am interested in trying this brand new ship. I probably will only leave the ship in port to take pictures of the ship's exterior. :) Chuck
