  1. Just received my refund. Took 18 days. Maybe I just have a great TA!!!
  2. On March 27 I cancelled our cruise scheduled for November of 2020. Yesterday I received a complete refund of the $900 deposit. Took 28 days. Thank you Celebrity!!!!!
  3. And when the battle is over, and the smoke has cleared, then come the lawyers... to bayonet the wounded.
  4. You can book any of the cabins that show up under either 2 or 3 persons. Celebrity tries to block 3 person cabins until the ship reaches a certain percent full. If you want to book online, simply insert the cabin number you want when you are booking. I would call and book through a Celebrity rep, or a TA, and get the free upgrade if you have a Captain's Club number. Bon Voyage
  5. The gratuities for drinks are already included in your beverage package. Only tip extra if you so desire. Have a great cruise.
  6. Agree. Also, once you start allowing "dress shorts", short shorts are sure to follow...and then you're Carnival. Look at what has happened with "Designer jeans" on chic nights. Now torn jeans are allowed, bib overalls are allowed. Beware the slippery slope.
  7. Plastic straws so I can have a drink without a dissolved straw in it. Formal nights. Every night. Ahhh, the good old days!
  8. We are interested as well. Sailing in 2 weeks.
  9. Can you tell us if there were any additional forms, tests of any kind as part of the boarding process? Thank you and Bon Voyage!
  10. 11day cruise in the Caribbean in March. Can't wait!
  11. What would be your suggestion for a more adequate job? How else can they even try to determine if you had contact with a person who visited China? They probably can check your passport to see if YOU have been there. I don't see what else can be done to check your contacts. So... yes, I believe they are doing all they can.
  12. You no longer have to pay gratuities in advance with select dining. That went out quite a while ago.
  13. Very nice! And appropriate that it says "World Class" in the background.
  14. Yes, you can. Call Celebrity and book the cruise, then you have 60 days to transfer to your TA. Do it all the time.
  15. Reflection 9299 comment from the spreadsheet: Slightly larger than Standard. The left-hand side of the balcony juts out about an extra 1.5 feet. That area has appropriate legroom for someone on the tall side who would hit their feet lounging in a Standard balcony. Bon Voyage!
  16. From Cruise Industry News January 30, 2020 Royal Caribbean International has added further screening measures due to the coronavirus outbreak. "After consultation with medical experts and public health authorities, we’ve decided that regardless of nationality, any guest or crewmember traveling from, to, or through mainland China or Hong Kong less than 15 days prior to their sailing will be unable to board any of our ships," the company said, in a letter sent to booked guests. "We regret to have to do this, but due to the recent increase of coronavirus cases around the world, this precaution will help avoid the spread of this virus. We take this very seriously and have a responsibility to maintain a safe and healthy environment onboard our ships, as well as in the ports we visit." The company also said it tightened its secondary health screening requirements and the following guests will need to undergo extra screenings to ensure safety at the cruise terminal; guests or crewmembers that have been in contact with individuals that have traveled from, to, or through mainland China or Hong Kong in the last 15 days; Anyone that holds a Chinese or Hong Kong passport – regardless of when they were there last. Anyone that feels unwell or demonstrates flu-like symptom. "While these measures are conservative, our responsibility is to reduce the spread of coronavirus, in an effort to keep our ships safe and to ensure you are able to enjoy your time with us," the company said. I believe that Royal Caribbean Limited should enact the same policy for Celebrity and Azamara Cruisers as well. We should certainly be afforded the same protections as RCL passengers. I will be calling Captain's Club and emailing One touch this morning on this. George
  17. But not the same concierge used by CC passengers?
  18. I believe the Concierge is for the use of Concierge Class (CC) Passengers. I have traveled in both CC and regular veranda class and when in CC received daily messages from the Concierge, but never when in regular veranda. Concierge service is one of the reasons one pays extra for a CC cabin.
  19. On Equinox, Cellar Masters has been replaced with exactly what you are describing. The area is called Social Craft, has a lot of craft beers, and gets a considerable amount of use.
  20. Thanks, Laura, for both the removal and the clarification. Much appreciated.
  21. Scheduled to be completed February 14, 2020. Bon Voyage!
