Sittin'OnTheDock Posted April 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2018 We have about 30 cruises and have never printed more than one set sail pass, but I am seeing some of Royal's ships are requiring each person (or adult) to have their own set sail pass. Anybody know what the deal is?
payitforward Posted April 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2018 I've only seen one per cabin unless they want to use separate on board accounts.
csaeroach Posted April 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2018 The new set sail passes are per person. So everyone embarking needs their own. Each pass has one name per pass no matter the age. Use to have everyone in one cabin on one pass but the new ones don’t seem to.
Clarea Posted April 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2018 The procedure of having one SetSail pass per person has only been extended to a few ships so far. Quantum Class, Harmony, Allure, and probably Symphony. Not sure if there are others.
Rare lazydayz Posted April 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2018 We had to print one for each of us on the Oasis. That was a first for me.
Ken at the beach Posted April 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2018 We had to print one for each of us on the Oasis. That was a first for me. When was that? We were on board the second week of March and only had to print one for the cabin.
Sittin'OnTheDock Posted April 10, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Must be new. We were on the Allure last Oct and only had one set sail pass. We are shipping out on the Navigator is a few days...so I guess we'll find out. Cheers:)
Ken at the beach Posted April 10, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Must be new. We were on the Allure last Oct and only had one set sail pass. We are shipping out on the Navigator is a few days...so I guess we'll find out. Cheers:) It’s new for Allure. It started with Quantum when she was launched and has been on every new ship since then. Only recently did they start adding an older ship (Allure) since she shares terminal 18 with Harmony.

STANMELB Posted April 10, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 10, 2018 We had to print one for each of us on the Oasis. That was a first for me. We are sailing on the Oasis 4-15-18. Both of our names are on our Set Sail Pass.
Rare lazydayz Posted April 10, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 10, 2018 We are sailing on the Oasis 4-15-18. Both of our names are on our Set Sail Pass. Ours was last September. Very weird. But our recent Navigator cruise, only needed one per cabin. Always have them all on one credit card so not sure why that one was different. SRF Posted April 10, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 10, 2018 The difference is, with individual set sail passes, you will not get your sail card at checkin, it will be outside your cabin when they release them. So each person needs a printed set sail pass as their boarding card and to charge drinks against.
smalltimecruiser100 Posted April 10, 2018 #13 Share Posted April 10, 2018 We're sailing in 2019 on the Adventure. How will we know many we will need. Does it tell you when doing the online checkin?

They use it to scan you in to get another paper pass to board with. Not sure we like the procedure as our SeaPass card is not available until 1, when cabins are ready. FreshOffTheBoat Posted April 10, 2018 #25 Share Posted April 10, 2018 I had separate set sail passes for each person in the cabin on my last anthem cruise and my sea pass cards were in the room. My current cruise coming up on grandeur only required one set sail per cabin. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
