Back to Back Luggage

We've done this before a couple of times. If you leave everything on hangers, the room steward(s) simply transfer them to a bell hop cart and rehang in your closet in the new room.

It is easier if you pack up all your smaller and toiletry items into your suitcases so those can be easily transferred as well. If your second room is with the same room steward, let him/her know of your plans and once the other occupants leave, you will be able to assist in moving everything over. If it is on a different location on the ship entirely, pop over to meet your new room steward during the first section of the cruise and let him/her know. Once the previous guests have completely vacated their room, you'll be able to move your belongings to the new room. While we don't over tip on most sailings, this is a situation where we definitely provide a little extra ($10 for each steward or $20 if it is the same steward). Money well spent.

^^^^ What the other posters said. Also, as soon as the previous occupants have vacated their cabin, have the steward let you into the cabin so you can transfer your valuables into the safe. Then you will be free to go ashore for the day, if you want (once you have your new sail cards and immigration is handled).

We’ve done a number of B2B’s and were lucky to have the same SR, but our friends had to move. What was stated before is how it works, but with one difference: they only let their initial room steward know, and that steward contacted and coordinated with the other steward. They didn’t hunt down the other Steward. Might check with your steward what is required.

As to other requirements in a B2B, you’ll close out your initial cruise costs and will be get a new card. All done easily at the Front Desk. For foreign port B2B’s, it’s treated as just another port of call. You don’t go through any security or customs steps. You wake up and off you go for a enjoyable day. For US port B2B’s, our experience was we met other B2B’ers at the Front Desk, and escorted off the ship to go through customs and then back on. Took about 1/2 hr max.

You’ll get new CC perk cards. And if you bought any booze/wine in port or onboard that was held to the end of the cruise, all will be returned to your SR the night before, and you have it for the next cruise. At least that occurred last year on our last B2B. Hope it hasn’t changed.

And the best part of a B2B, the night before the paste port, you just enjoy another night at sea and don’t have to worry about packing, and you get to secretly smile as you walk around enjoying the ship and the port while everyone else is lugging themselves off the ship.

I agree this is the best part of a B2B seconded by being able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and take your time getting off! One thing I would add: if this is your first B2B, be sure to go to the meeting for B2Bers on your last sea day. That is where you'll be told everything you need to know including where and what time to meet to exchange your sea pass. Our last B2B took place in Southampton and we were off the ship by 10:30 in the morning. If it applies, I can strongly recommend spending the day in Southampton....great sites to see...restaurants galore....a supermarket where the locals shop for items you may be running short of...and all within a very short walk from the ship.

I know , we really wanted a celebrity suite on second part but they were sold out so we have to settle for sky suite, but still has the great perks

George, there are many of us reading this who would be more than happy to "settle" for a sky suite:):).

I am spoiled have done mostly suites last 8 years , but did dozens of tiny inside rooms in past. First suite was a free upgrade , some people splurg on new cars , we splurge on vacations. Celebrity has really great suite perks much better in general to rccl and Hal. ( having no children helps :D)

If you would like to stay in the same room for both cruises keep a look out as it nears final payment. There are often many cancellations....you may manage to swap to one room or other for the two cruises.

We have only done a b2b once....loved that last night of the first cruise knowing we were only half way through our holiday!
