Yesterday it rained all day and visibility was really low, so the cruising wasn't very scenic! We had lunch in Pinnacle Grill a perfect thing tondonon a rainy afternoon. Food was delicious atmosphere so lovely! Went to MDR for gala night and then one set at BB Kings before the show on Mainstage One World. A wonderful relaxing day.

 

Today in Juneau we took an amazing tour that was a canoe paddle across Mendenhall Glacier and then a glacier hike. Breathtaking.

On the glacier and glacier lake the weather was actually pretty nice...cool, cloudy, not a drop of rain and pretty great visibility! We are so glad we did this adventure through Liquid Alaska!

I think tomorrow is Glacier Bay. Please, if you have time, could you check to see if people are allowed to view from the bow on deck 10(Panorama). Our cabin is right at the front of the ship on that deck in Sept, and I just wonder if we'll be able to stand out there to take in the scenery....then I'll have to figure out how one gets there!

 

Are you dining at Pinnacle Grill? Look forward to hearing about it if you are, also want to see menu for 2nd Gala Night. And tell us about the special Chocolate Event that follows! Thanks!

I don't think there is a place to stand on the bow on deck 10 but I will check.

 

We have previewed tomorrow night's menu because DD has to pre-order for her gluten-free needs:

We did lunch at Pinnacle on our first full day. It was delicious and well worth $10pp. Not doing dinner there. Did canaletto and still doing Rudi's and Tamarind.
