non refundable vs refundable

Not if you stay in the same cabin.

There is a small possibility that a price reduction would allow you to change, but prices usually go up before final.

I don't think there is any situation where a non-refundable deposit could be changed to refundable, without incurring the $100pp change fee.

Bob, from what I have read on the terms of the NRD in order to change from a non refundable to a refundable it would need to be an outright cancellation thereby losing the $100 per person as you stated. Simply moving ships or sail dates and losing the $100 per person would still result in having to book a NRD rate as the reservation number in this case would not change.

That's the way I read it too.

Of course not.

Do you mean the other way?

Book refundable and before final take advantage of a non refundable less expensive rate

I thought that was odd also. Most would indeed would do the opposite for that reason.
