Thanks for following! Maybe we'll run into each other at breakfast tomorrow. It will be our first breakfast at the top Sail restaurant as we have slept through all the rest lol.

I’m undercover on here. lol. I am Mindybrite but I haven’t scoped but definitely will on this cruise. I may need some pointers you were really outstanding !

You need pointers? Go see Twangster! Lol. Or I will happily share his knowledge. You know where to find me...rcperiscopers group [emoji6]

Thanks so much Lovetocruise! After following your review I feel like I have taken another great cruise on MSC. (I thought that last menu was one of the best I have ever seen in the YC.)

Thanks for following along!

You have certainly whetted the appetite for our YC cruise which starts today !!

Oh my, you are in for a treat! Say hello to Arthur for me. And Justin and Richard (the bartenders in the Top Sail Lounge) are amazing! So is Joel. He wasn't our butler but he was always in the lounge. Super nice guy. Have a great sailing!!

Thanks so much for a great week and for sharing so much great info. It’s been fun checking in throughout the week to see where we are today or what’s for dinner. I think we’re all sharing a bit in your post-cruise blues this morning.

Seven more weeks until it’s our turn. Safe travels!

I can't believe you are getting off already!! Boy this week went fast. I still haven't watched all your scopes, so you can't get off. LOL :D

I was watching some of your deck tours this morning; I am wondering...does it look like in the YC private deck areas & pool that there are enough loungers and such for each YC guest? Or do people come out early to claim a lounger? Never having sailed in a 'special" area I wasn't sure how that worked. I'm thinking I'd want a guaranteed seat. After spending all that money, to have to turn around and leave because it's full? Well, that would be for the common-folk. Hahaha!!

Was also wondering if you need to check in and out towels like on RCCL? Or are they just provided to you?

Okay, back to your scopes. I may come back with more questions.

I'm guessing Lovetocruise is enroute to the airport. There are tons of loungers at the One Pool. Absolutely no reason to have a "guaranteed seat"! There are towels, towels, and more towels, plus two in your stateroom. No need to check out or in. The pool attendants will put towels down on the padded loungers once you have chosen where you want to be. There was no need for "chair hogs" and I didn't notice any on my cruise. Everyone was very civilized. :D

It's most definitely not an English speaking cruise line - Papperdelle in Duck sauce - sounds like pasta in chinese duck sauce.

Items may not be fully cooked - means might be rare/medium/notwelldone

Glad you had a good time! Safe flight home!

Thank you! I continued on with one of her tour scopes and the amount of loungers question was pretty much answered. I've found if I don't ask a question when I think of it, I will forget! But I guess that leads to asking questions that were already answered. LOL

Good to know about the towels - that always irks me, to have to pay attention to my towels and the returning of them - especially by my kids. I've been cruising for 26 years, and remember the times when you didn't have to check them in and out, and prefer the old way in this situation.

This week went by way too fast! The pool lounger and towel situation is exactly as gimletgal described. If you are dying for a chair right by the pool then it might be hard to come by on a sea day. Otherwise, plenty of space always. And they don't scan your card like Royal for towels.

Thank you! And regretfully, I did not see Vishnu again so I did not have a chance to ask KF he will be on in 7 weeks time.

Thanks for following Ellceee! And the pasta was delicious. It was actually the desserts that were a bit disappointing this week. But all in all, a great time!

We made it to the airport after a long, long wait. More about that in a bit.

So disembarkation was a breeze. We went to the concierge at 8:05am and let them know that we were ready to go. We were escorted by a butler right to where they scan your card to get off. That is where it completely ends. The butler does not get off the ship at all.

We made our way through the gangway and past customs. From the concierge desk to curb was 15min! We got lucky as there were not many people disembarking at the time. Customs was quite empty. One thing to note here is that you have an option after customs to either take the elevator down or the escalator. This is the case with most terminals at disembarkation. What was different here was that if you are carrying off more than once piece of luggage, then you either had to take the elevator (which had a huge line) or stack your bags to take the escalator. The reason being that they needed you to have one free hand to hold the rail going down. They were very strict on this as one person was standing right at the escalator to make sure you had one hand on the rail. So, if you carry all your luggage off like us, be prepared to wait in the elevator line or stack your bags.

Upon walking out of the doors of the terminal, you are met with MSC crew members who will direct you to cab, self-parking etc. It was very organized. We were told by rep that they had shuttles going to Miami airport for $8pp. For $16 we thought why not? Well, we now know why not. It was 8:20am when we got on the shuttle. It was 9:30am by the time we were dropped off at the Delta terminal. Hubby did not mind the wait as he thinks the time is either spent waiting at the airport or in the shuttle. I however did not think it worth it wait for the shuttle to fill

up, go to different terminals, etc. Next time, we will go back to Lyft, especially if we have our girls with us.

Waiting for our flight now back to DTW. I will upload the rest of the daily programs either tonight or tomorrow afternoon. I still owe everyone 3 days worth [emoji6]

Feeling sad as the reality of laundry and grocery shopping now awaits. At least we still have our can of Pringles. The last little bit of our wonderful week in YC on the Seaside.

Any smoked salmon for breakfast?

IIRC, there was some in the lounge some mornings. We only made to the restaurant today for breakfast and we ate quickly, so I did not pay attention to that.

Actually, looking back at the menu that I posted, it looks like they did.

A final note on internet usage. After many posts to this blog, scopes, texting, FaceTime with kids, and regular daily surfing, I still had a lot of data left...

cfb1dda6545cd770bd6634b3a9f414f6.jpg

This was Hubby's usage. We did FaceTime with our kids through both accounts.

In retrospect, it would have been cheaper for us to get one package with 6GB and then pay the additional $59 to top up an additional 2.4GB.

We have been following your post and have enjoyed them very much, as we are thinking of booking the YC for our next cruise. We have cruised Cunard in the Grills three times and the service is good but not what you describe on MSC YC.

My question is did you give out extra tips or even feel as though they were looking for extra tips? We never felt this pressure from Cunard, but have when we are on RCL Celebrity, and especially on Carnival.
