Many, many great funnies at The Cooler from zqtchas, mysty, Spins, etc. Keep it coming!!  We need the relief!!

Our pretty snow is melting here in Central Ohio.  Like it much better when it is sunny with snow on the trees, ground, etc.

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

On Friday morning at 12:01 am, it will be 2021.  Happy New Year??!!  Does everyone have their New Years wishes prepared, polished and finalized?  How did things work out in 2020 for that list of hopes and plans??

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

Found a new gin to try. Empress 1908. It's a great match with elderflower tonic. And the freshly-picked Meyer lemon.

Makes a funky color in the glass!

JP, sorry we did not tell you about the Empress gin; a friend recommended it almost a bottle ago!

In honor of JP and the Scottish sailors who fly, I made our first G&T with Empress 1908 tonight.  By far the prettiest G&T I’ve ever made and the taste was spectacular.

Anyone care to share why G&T in the States is generally served with lime and the traditional English G&T (at least on British Airways IME) is served with lemon? I could Google this, of course, but I thought your responses would be much more entertaining!

Not coming down on either side here! Whatever you like more, or whatever best fits with the particular gin... Try each and see.

But there are many other good choices. Orange, grapefruit, fresh herbs...all can go very well with certain G&T combinations.

Well here down under I will have my G&T with finger lime when at home.

Daleys Fruit Tree Blog: Finger Limes.

Our tree produces the pink little pearls of flavour.only 1 of our trees is old enough to produce but have 2 others which hopefully will produce fruit in 1 or 2 years time.

You get little bursts of flavour.

Some Australian gins have finger lime as one of the botanicals.Currently I am drinking the products of a Tasmanian distillery.
