Recent Anthem of the Seas Star Class Genie?

Hi! We are sailing on Anthem for the holidays and will be staying in a Star Class suite. We have sailed on the Allure in a Star Class level suite and it was fabulous. In reading some of the reviews of the Anthem genies, early reviews weren't always positive. I'm hoping someone here might have recent experience with the Anthem genies. What were your experiences? Who was your genie? Were you happy? Just trying to get my expectations in line with reality! :confused:Thank you so much for your help!

I hope someone responds. Have you done the Star Class before? We loved it. We are rather low maintenance, but it was sooo nice to not have to worry about lines and saving seats. Having all of our restaurant reservations taken care of was also wonderful. The gifts they found for us were so personal and showed such care (they found otter cuff links for my otter fanatic husband - not an easy feat) and we enjoyed spending time with our genie. For the Anthem, I'm hoping it means we will actually be able to do the bumper cars and such - the other times we've been on the ship, the lines were ridiculously long and we missed the bumper cars entirely.

 

Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous time on 11/3. I hope you will share your thoughts when you get back!

I was on Anthem in April with a genie. Overall, I thought having a genie on Anthem was great and very helpful.

 

There are many activities on Anthem that require a reservation or waiting in a line... the genie helped with all of that.

 

We did all of the activities, some multiple times. Near the end, our genie asked if there was anything we wanted to do. My kids said let's go on the bumper cars again (we probably ended up doing the bumper cars 4x overall). Out genie said let's go and we walked right on, despite a very long line.

This will be our first Star Class or Suite on Royal Caribbean. We have done suites on other cruise line but it just never worked out on RCI. We are really looking forward to it. I received our Survey to complete on Monday. I’m starting to get really excited plus I’m in dire need of some down time!

Oh, you will love it! The survey seems very silly and some people refuse to complete it, but I encourage you to be as detailed as possible. They use the information, no matter how crazy your response, to find special gifts and surprises. It was great fun! Have a fabulous time!

We have been on Anthem of the Seas in Star Class three times. Our genies have been Mimi, Derick and Jay. All three were absolutely wonderful and it was so wonderful to have their planning and special attention to detail each time. While they were all wonderful, our favorite was Derick. Each one personalizes the cruise to what you need or want (and even when you don't know what you want!). Planning on doing Star Class again next year again on Anthem. Last September we were told to walk to the front of the line and show our Star Class cards at the entrance and we could get on the next run without waiting. Our Genie was fabulous and made sure we got to do everything we wanted to do.

It's one of the perks of Star Class.

 

I felt weird about it, but our genie escorted us up to the front one time ahead of everyone and then they told us to just jump the line the next time around. There was even a sign indicating where Star Class lined up along the wall that was near the front of the line.

 

On ships with Flowriders they let Star Class jump the line as well.

We are just off the Anthem and Derick was our genie. I plan on doing a review with the next few days but will tell you he was amazing. He will book everything you want and then be there to get you on the ride or in the restaurant. My DH and DS got hooked on the ifly and Derick made sure they could get on as much as possible, 5 times the last day. My granddaughter loved the bumper cars and she would ride every time they were scheduled at least 3 times. He booked North Star every port so we could see the cities from the air. We loved the Anthem and had already had reservations for April 2019 but have moved our Sept. 2019 Liberty cruise to Anthem in Nov. 2019. We know Derick will be on board both times and will make sure we have him take care of us again. It was an amazing 8 days and an even more amazing genie. I know you will enjoy your time with which ever genie you get, as they are all good.

We are on the Anthem, leaving on the November 25th sailing. Agostina is going to be our Genie. 

 

It looks like Derick is going on vacation, and she is picking up his guests. Last time we were on Anthem Jay was our Genie.

We had Jay in Star Class on Anthem this past June.  We were hoping for exceptional treatment, and we were not disappointed.  He did things that were above and beyond the listed perks, and gave us a fantastic experience.  Meals, shows and activities were all smoothed out and things we really liked were repeated.  Most of the time, he was ahead of our even thinking about what could be accomplished.

How many Genies are on Anthem?  When we were on in 2016, there were two.  Since then, I believe the Sky Loft suites were "downgraded" to Sky class (no Genie).

Following. We are on Anthem for New Years. Our first Star Class experience.  Can't wait!  We've done the questionnaire, but haven't been contacted by our Genie yet. I think it's  couple of weeks too early still.

We are on the 12/21 sailing and got our personal email today, so you will probably hear from them around 11/28 or 11/29.  So fun!

Our genie was Yen

We were just contacted by Yen.  How was he? Or is that she?
