What bottled water is nonpremium?

Just put a 24 hour hold on a Reflections cruise, 12/28/18. Looking at drinks packages. We are 4 adults. Two don't drink alcohol. We all mostly drink water. If we don't buy the premium bottled water package that comes with Evian, what will we get? Tap water in a glass? On previous cruises (never on Celebrity before) we never bought any packages, but got free water and lemonade, coffee and tea. Two of us might have a few drinks over the course of the whole week, so don't think package is necessary.

 

Appreciate any thoughts on this!

We never used to get a package as like you, we don't drink much. You do get the lemonade, fruit punch, ice tea and coffee. And yes, water is from a "tap". Tastes just fine. Just take a refillable bottle.

 

I can live without bottled water and soda for 10 days. What I do like about the alcohol package is that I get the good coffee. We do take the package as a perk because my wife drinks. Our next cruise we paid $15 pp per day for it by the time we got all done.

 

So, no, you don't need it. We sailed for years without it and were just fine.

The lower package get bottled water (whatever is loaded on the different docks, brand varies by location) but not Evian. Higher package also has Pellegrino & vitamin water

Classic drinks package gets bottled water just not well known brands like Evian. You have to show your card to get a bottle and can only get one bottle at a time.

 

Without a package, you can use the water dispensers in the buffet to fill the plastic cups provided. Ice dispensers are alongside.

 

Or you can pay per bottle at all bars and from the mini-bar in the cabin.

In the MDR, they will fill up a glass with iced water from a jug but then take the jug away.

On the Classic Package, we did not get any bottled water. Rather, it was a carton that had the Celebrity label on it. Note that the bottom was square and did not fit in the round hole in the arm chair in the Theater. No bottles were available with the Classic package. These cartons were also for sale in the refrigerator in our room.

This is part of their plastic reduction program. If the fact that it is square is a problem, bring along a refillable bottle, and fill it from the square one. Or ask for a glass.

What do you do with the carton in the theater when you pour half of it in the glass? A real pain leaving it on the floor.

Also, why don't they do a paper reduction program? Art auctions, port shopping, etc. That is a real waste.

The cartons have a reclosable cap, just like bottles do.

We are really only just becoming aware of how serious an environmental hazard plastic waste in our oceans is.

Will they give you a glass or a straw?

 

Definitely not drinking it directly from the waxy cartons!?

 

We have nice metal drink btls with clips...good for the gym but but not dragging them around all night either!

They will give you a glass but it isn’t hard to drink from the carton. It isn’t a fold out like a milk carton.
