My TA asked Azamara and was told all these cruises are sold out.  Skeptical?

Oh absolutely not all sold out.  I was looking at the Panama canal cruise over the weekend and there were plenty of cabins still available.  If it was one or cruises, maybe they could sell out in a matter of days, but no way all of them!

Right.  Latest word is that sales for those cruises are on hold.  Charter in the works somewhere in those two months?

Quest is being dry docked in March 2019 in Singapore when the alterations to Deck 5 adding The Den are due to be done, so possibly Journey is having the same work done. Wouldn’t be unreasonable considering the negative reactions to the electronic casino on Journey against the positive ones for The Den on Pursuit.

Could it be another job for Belfast?

Good.  On Pursuit now and the Den has been packed every night.  Have Quest booked next summer so glad to hear changes are planned for her.  Belfast performance was a big hit with RCCL, likely ensuring future business.

We booked the 7 night Journey cruise ref 9898502 departing on 27 October 2019 in August whilst on board.

The itinerary was

Athens, Sea Day, Siracusa, Valletta, Trapani, Amalfi, Sorrento, Rome.

I've just checked our Azamara account and it now shows the 9898502 itinerary departing 27 October 2019 as a 9 night cruise to Athens, Taormina, Sorrento, Rome, Florence, Monte Carlo, Ajaccio, Mann, Barcelona. !! Nothing like the original!

No one has contacted us. What is going on Azamara? Why haven't you advised booked passengers?

As of today, I'm seeing the following.

12/10/19 Journey:  Miami to Cozumel, Costa Maya, St. Tomas de Castilla (Guatemala), George Town (Grand Cayman), Key West, back to Miami

12/19/19 Journey:  Miami to Key West, Havana (three days), Cartagena, Panama Canal, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, disembark Los Angeles

Significant changes in 12/19 cruise.  12/10 looks as it has been.

Please tell me not.  I am embarking Quest 8 March and expecting to end up in Yokohama, not dry dock at Sembawang Singapore.  What makes you think that she is in dry dock then please Riocca?

There appears to be a 14-night night cruise departing from Cairns on 8th March and arriving in Singapore on 22nd March.  There is then a 16-night cruise departing from Singapore on 29th March and arriving in Tokyo on 14th April.  The dry dock must be in Singapore in the week between these two cruises.

OMG!  Thank you everyone, this site is so worthwhile.  I just booked the B2B on a whim, and somehow didn’t notice the missing week.   We used to live in Malaysia so it’s perhaps a possibly that we go visit friends for a week, otherwise we might cancel the first leg.  Thank you so much!!!!

When we were on Quest in September we were told the scheduled dry dock in Singapore for 22nd - 29th March 2019 had been finalised and that The Den had been agree.

As far as we were aware it had always been in Quests schedule as the ship was due for its 3 year dry dock.

Please see my comment above yours, we were  both typing at once.  Thank you SO MUCH.  I feel like a complete idiot....dates are not my strong point 😳.

The October 19th sailing is now also closed

Bonnie, DW and I are on the October 19, 2019 cruise.  Is it being chartered or sold out?  We are Azamara fans but being booted from this cruise would be a major downer.

I haven’t heard why they’re missing. I’ll find out on Monday.

Quoting this in the hopes that our new website sends Bonnie an email reminder of her promise of an update.

I believe the Journey’s late-2019 voyages will be back online this week.

When will passengers already booked be told how Azamara will take care of them as a result of the itinerary changes apparently being made to these cruises?

The 10/27/19 cruise has a different itinerary,  duration, and disembarkation port.  The following cruise from Civitavecchia to Barcelona now appears to have been canceled, as Journey will already have reached Barcelona on the previous cruise.  The 12/19/19 cruise is now Havana-intensive, and many have already done Cuba-intensive Azamara cruises, some more than one.  One hopes there is very good reason for inconveniencing passengers already booked on these cruises.
