On my morning walk, pelican flying towards me, then landed on the bay. (Plus what the bay looked like facing towards Meltbouna city)

I was visiting my family in The Villages, FL.  We went for a little walk and found some owl watchers.  If I had known we would be going bird watching on that trip I would have brought a bigger lens!

I had to go to a zoo to find something other than the usual colorless birds that bless the semi-arid desert biome that we live in out here. 

 

 

From the coloration, it is either from Mexico or Italy...based on their flags.

There is a fair bit of evidence that they react negatively to their own reflections in Windows, sunglasses, or even camera lenses.

Don't think I was close enough for that to be a problem (we were warned to stay well clear of the fence due to potentially aggressive stags being in the paddocks as well)

 

I decided to have a bit of fun with that shot 😉

I believe it is a white fronted bee-eater. From Africa. 
 

it reminds me of the Rainbow bee-eater here in Australia (not my photo)

Good call! You spurred my curiosity and a bit of research confirmed your identification of my little friend as a White-fronted Bee Eater, native to sub-equatorial Africa. Since I saw him in San Diego, I can only imagine how tired his little wings were! 🙂
