sailor05 Posted April 16, 2019 #51 Share Posted April 16, 2019 That's exactly what they're doing. There's a shipping lane that they head west over to then turn south/sw. You're all good!

LMaxwell Posted April 16, 2019 #53 Share Posted April 16, 2019 Starboard Azipod. Our eastern itinerary was shortened last week for both St. Maarten and Labadee; no letter sent to room stating change in itinerary.
BobNoxious Posted April 24, 2019 #54 Share Posted April 24, 2019 I have been in contact with Royal. They are not definitively stating that the ship will be repaired before next year's drydock.

I'm sure it will be repaired in the dry dock.
E23NK1 Posted April 24, 2019 #57 Share Posted April 24, 2019 So they have been cutting some time off either the front end or back of island stops? We sail on Allure May 12 but have 2 sea days right out of the gate so am hoping because of that they wont have to adjust too much...we sail to St Kitts, St Thomas and Nassau. You shouldn't have any issues. The ship is still sailing quite fast and the sea days on the longer legs of your itinerary means you have plenty of time to make port. St. Kitts to St. Thomas is a hop, skip and a jump.

We sail on the same itinerary in October. If you think about saving/posting the cruise compasses, that would be a great help to my planning. Are you seeing any deeper discounts on the beverage/dining packages at this point?

I will try...I always start out well but by day 4 or 5 I forget to keep them...haha. Best I have seen was 30% off just recently...most sales have been 50% off second. I did buy the bottle and mixers in the room deal though and am hoping to see the drink cards at some point....cant justify buying the drink package for both of us as my wife would never drink enough for us to break even. Depends on the issue. Some propulsion work can be done wet, some requires a dry dock.

Does your wife drink soda, freshly squeezed juice, bottled water, smoothies, non-alcoholic drinks, specialty coffees? If so you might consider the refreshment package for her and the alcohol package for you. You'd have to call to arrange this, but it is possible if it works for you.
