Leading up to receiving the move up email we fully intended on bidding for a suite but after seeing the prices there’s absolutely no way we would bid at these rates, to be honest these are the highest rates I’ve seen quoted 😱 especially given there’s plenty of suites available… 🤷🏼‍♂️

The minimum bid on SS and ASS per the email offer was $600 and $1000 respectively; by the time I got to the website to submit an hour later, it was already up to $1000 and $1500 respectively. Hence my $1100pp and $1500pp respectively. We were already sailing with $550pp of Celebrity's money due to the $125% FFC. So I viewed this as a net increase $550 to us. It is worth to me to have access to the more private areas of The Retreat.

Still not sure about this as not keen on balcony but we are used to PH so thought will try & bid. No RS available at the moment. But PH & IS available at a ridiculous price. I’ve cancelled our offer for RS after much deliberation. Decided to put money towards Norway fjords cruise instead & will try Aqua. Going from CS to Aqua maybe ok. From RS to Aqua maybe a bit too much especially as we are usually PH. We’ve a couple of big land holidays next year so can’t really justify retreat class.

We haven't done AQ for at least 8 years and always found the regular sized cabins, which is what AQ's are, a little tight especially at the end of the Bed, although the CS on the S class ships is the same in the bedroom although you can bail out through the bathroom. We are on the Silhouette in October in a CS and the cruise looks almost sold out with no RS an PH available, but our max bids were similar to your minimums so I will let it play out and see what happens. We decided on our only Edge class cruise not to do the CS because of the balcony. We did an S1 at the back corner and the balcony was huge and the room very good.

We're in a RS on the Reflection  - B2B over Thanksgiving. I just received an offer to bid on a Reflection and Penthouse suite. I promptly deleted it (with a smirk and shaking head) when I saw it was $5000 pp min bid for the Reflection suite. I don't think a nice shower and a little more elbow room is worth TEN GRAND. We're paying about ten grand for the two weeks to begin with (Blue Chip Club rate).

Thought about Concierge as well tbh. But I’ve wanted to try Aqua before & it’s 7 nights so I’m interested to try it. Will also book a couple of speciality restaurants as well.
