If you believe that you need to “secure” your laptop, just lock it in your suitcase under the bed.

I found it amusing that people worry about locking up their laptops, however I see people on a daily basis (non-cruise ship) leaving their smart phones on top of bars etc while they do a bathroom run.  If it is a new smart phone the value of it is higher than many lap tops yet people are fixated about locking up their laptops while on a cruise.

Just put it in your empty suitcase...lock it if you feel the need.  No one will bother it, or go looking for it!

Agree, always put mine in suitcase
