Can't wait to hear how the day went at the Dockyard,  we have toured Bermuda sev times and done land based.  On our  next trip plan to spend time at the fort, museum etc..  And of course the Frog and Onion pub....lots of good  grub, music..cruisers and locals!

Thanks for the glimpse of Mom and Dad! Sounds like the weather is good! Mom and I were talking about Chef Boulud coming on board! Hoping they get to taste some new menu items before the end of this sailing...thinking you should get to see new menu items on the second sailing but not sure how quickly they can revamp the menus et al. Please pay attention to that though...we are very interested in what Chef does to the menus. Mom said Blu will be after Luminae.

Hopefully we will get a taste.  I am going to check if availability for his Chef’s Table. On this cruise there is currently a waitlist of 15.

By the way I told your mom yesterday that I love your username.

Very excited to receive an invitation to meet with Chef Daniel Boulud in the Retreat Lounge at 5pm.  His Luminae menu is fantastic.

Me too. We may attend but not sure.

Jim, I am enjoying your wonderful review! Getting ready for our Bermuda cruise.

Happy to see Summit so updated and modern. Last time in 2015 it was a bit worn out.

One question. I do not see padded loungers by the pool. I thought some of them were padded previously just like on S class. Am I mistaken?

They do have some near the stage.  The ones outside Aqua Spa are gone

Sorry to say but will have to wait a couple days.   We stayed aboard and had a fun morning with a group of Zenith’s.   What a fun group.

We spent yesterday at the dockyard and had a fun day.  So much there from swimming with the dolphins to miniature golf.

Wow, I haven't been able to check in on CC since last Saturday. Finally caught up on your blog, really enjoying all the great photos and commentary!

I realize you're dining in Blu for the most part, but wondered if you'd remember if all the largest tables in the MDR are basically by the grand staircase. Seems that way from the pictures.

Asking because for our Iceland & Greenland sailing next year we've requested to be at a table for 12 so we have a good chance to meet a larger group and have good conversation opportunities each night. Was hoping they might have one or two of those tables by the gigantic window all the way aft so there could be some night views at night, but from your photos it looks like those are all tables for 2 or 4, with a few 6- or maybe 8-seat tables in the corners.

Well, if nothing else we can get breakfast in the MDR each day and request a window table if we don't feel like company that morning. But I will say that I do really enjoy just requesting a shared table and seeing who I get sat with; have met some really fun / nice / interesting people and enjoyed a whole other facet of the cruising experience!

Just checked and there are 4 I could spot adjacent to the central service areas

They were having a Tea when I was there so may have rearranged some tables. F7A8BAA7-7CD6-4D52-9061-618F98623319.thumb.jpeg.071e49445602f0114687b01e2be23ab3.jpeg

they have some nice 2 tops aft where the Captains table use to be

If you have a chance, can you find out what they are charging for the mini iPads?  I forgot to check whilst onboard last cruise.  Thanks.

P.s.  really have enjoyed your comments and pictures.  Thanks for taking us along on this cruise with you.

I had to chuckle.  They have this poster next to the “Internet Cafe”

i couldn't figure out how to view our stateroom expenses.

“Sorry but it hasn’t been implemented yet”

Jim, thank you as always for a wonderful review. I’ve booked Chef Daniel’s special meal on Edge in July but in two minds about it. Would love to hear if you or anybody else manages to go.

Enjoy the rest of your trip

A little out of sequence but this is dinner last night.  Tonight is going to be Tuscan.

Menu for the evening.

We ordered off off menu.   Reagan suggested that we might enjoy a Petite Filet (3 oz) off of the children’s menu.

The filets were perfect size for us and cooked to the proper temperature we ordered.  Rare for Wanda and Medium Rare for Iain and I.

Love everything posted today...will  wait for  Bermuda updates on the next leg.

Thought of you as we  were out  for dinner tonight .I had a great Lobster roll  at the Old Salty Dog in Venice Fla!

For the persom who is interested in tables for 12.....While they look nice    we think that unless it's a family group,  that's just too many diners .  Someone or two will arrive late   and  order taking,   bevs and  dinner service will be drawn out...Table shape and size  too large for any real conversation other than with those nearby .  We preferred a round  table  for 8 when we did the mdr.

But everyone has their favs!

Jim, thanks for the additional pics of the MDR! Won't be able to request any of those 2-tops by the aft window, since it's my family of four traveling; part of why I had requested the largest size table for us, I'm hoping maybe there will be a couple other families with teens who also want to have some dining company. 😊 I figure with it in the summer and such a unique itinerary, I have at least an even chance.

Thank you very much.

So regular loungers do not have padding.

Nice to see some are still available.
