Platinum Self Assist Debark Question

We have never done self-assist debarkation, but I understand how it works.

What I don't know is if they have any coffee or munchies in the waiting area ?

I'm the type of person that has to have coffee in the morning to get started  🙂

I am not sure about all cruises, but when I went on the Vista cruise, they had coffee, juice, and continental type breakfast items in the meeting area in the dining room.

some of the ships I have cruised have had coffee and pastry. Those were in dining room where priority are meeting. Usually they do not as most now are meeting in theater that i have been sailing

Yes, they have it in the waiting area but you can also order room service or go to the buffet to get coffee before getting to the waiting area!

I need my coffee before I leave my cabin!

There is no room service that morning

Exactly, that's the issue I saw with self-assist  🙂

I’ve always gone to the mdr for breakfast first. Then, I go to the meeting place for Platinum self assist debarkation.

Last cruise, when we thought about doing self-assist, the meeting time was before the time the Lido buffet opened

I don’t go to Lido. I go to the main dining room. They open at 6:00 am.

We go to Lido early, they also open at 6 however most of the time it is about 10 min early.  Never ever had a problem with seating. Not usually that busy when they first open. Everything is nice and hot and no one rushing. We take our sweet time and leave when we are ready. We leave our luggage in the state room out of the way so they can make up the room for the next guests. That has never been a problem. If we happen to see the steward, we ask him and they always say no problem. Usually we are not not in any hurry to leave. We drive and use off site parking. Anyone doing Diamond or Platinum self assist, can leave the ship anytime after they start. Once they start calling tags. That is when the self assist have finished. leaving just after that is fast.
