Daveywavey70 Posted June 16, 2019 Author #19 Share Posted June 16, 2019 Many thanks Johngin. I Hope I can post some whilst on the ship. Going to try low quality but will certainly post when back if not. I’m most fascinated with my latest addition. The Insta 360 one x. it is superb. Shoots a full seamless 360 view at.5.7k which you can edit completely afterwards. Fantastic piece of kit, especially when attached to the drone. Fortunate2 Posted June 16, 2019 #21 Share Posted June 16, 2019 Terry, fingers crossed that the weather report is spot on! Our flight lands tomorrow before noon, we're staying at the JW Marriott Parq DT and then it's the "on and off buses" for the rest of the day. We hear it's a great way to see Vancouver then followed by dinner at Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar. From all reports it sounds fantastic. Davey... hope you enjoy speedy flights and we're looking forward to meeting you on-board:-)

Yes, I hope you have good weather for your time in Vancouver. In looking ahead for the Silver Muse visiting Ketchikan on Wednesday, June 19, AccuWeather is projecting a high of 57°F and a low of 49°F, partly sunny, maybe a passing shower. That is much better than what will be hitting Ketchikan in the four days prior to your arrival there. For Saturday through Tuesday, Ketchikan will get pounded with lots of rain. Good luck for your flights, time in Vancouver and in boarding the Silver Muse. Impressed by all of the photo, etc., gear displayed by Davey. Lots of "stuff", lug and pack!! Will you have a laptop along to review and editing all of the visuals and video you will produce? THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio Amazon River-Caribbean 2015 adventure live/blog starting in Barbados. Rare Fletcher Posted June 16, 2019 #23 Share Posted June 16, 2019 You should get some great drone footage of cruise ships, Daveywavey. In Juneau you will have four other ships for company and in Ketchikan there will be six ships in port, including Queen Elizabeth.
Rare TLCOhio Posted June 16, 2019 #24 Share Posted June 16, 2019 Weather is still looking great for tomorrow in Vancouver. See below the latest from AccuWeather. Enjoy your sail-away. turnip eater Posted June 16, 2019 #25 Share Posted June 16, 2019 We arrived Friday evening at 18:51 and we were through the airport by 19:30, arriving at our hotel at 19:55. The weather has been beautiful. We are staying at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, wonderful! We are across the road from the Cruise Terminal. An excellent location. We’ve watched cruise ships coming into the port each morning........and departures. Hopefully we’ll see the Silver Muse arriving tomorrow. Several buses depart from there, including both Hoho companies ( we preferred Land and Sea tours- they had newer double decker buses and live commentaries) also free shuttles to Grouse Mountain. Hope that there are no delays on Daveywavey’s flight and they have a quick journey through the airport! If anyone is looking for something to do at the Cruise port, try Fly over Canada. (It’s similar to Soarin’ at Disney’s Epcot.) It was good fun!
