Do they have a nightly theme dinner?

On most of our cruises, there has been a nightly theme. Last cruise, there was a monitor near the entrance to the Oceanview which would show the theme for that night.

They may not have a theme each night for dinner but there will be several.  These have included  Fish, Italian, Mexican, German, Greek, etc.

We have experienced a few different themed days including a ‘pie day’ on Eclipse which had some really excellent savoury and sweet offerings. However, don’t let the theme confuse you to thinking that is all that is on offer. The theme will be one area only and the usual stands of pizza, pasta, Indian, roast are all still there...

 

Whilst the ambience in Oceanview during the day can be a little frenetic in the evenings it is far more relaxed and can be a pleasant change from service dining especially after a long port day.

 

You can also enjoy steak, chicken, salmon and (I think lamb) cooked to order.

Yes, they do. It will be posted outside the oceanview what the theme is. Some that I've seen are French night, Fish and chips, Middle Eastern food.

Never at at the OVC at dinner, but I did notice some of the theme day's offering at lunch...On Italian they had capress and burrata...

As it happens, I am in the Ocean View on the Reflection right now.  Tonight seems to be some kind of German theme.  We have spaetzel, chicken schnitzel and pork schnitzel on the buffet.

Last night it was a large number of Indian entrees.

The OVC theme is normally listed in the dailies, in the section listing the restaurants and their opening times.

 

Look at these images of dalies from the Millenium. Below the "Culinary delights" heading, for the OVC, it says "Dinner buffet - Fish and chips".

During the Summit Cruise to New England and Canada we have the Oktober Fest

They had a home-made pretzel at the bread station and some pretty good apple strudel at desserts ( no shoo fly pie, though, LOL)
