Thank you @BirdTravels. I will be on the Joy in September and I am reading your posts with great interest.

I have booked early short excursions in several ports, where the ship is scheduled to arrive at 7:00 am and the excursion starts at 8. Therefore we will need to have our stomach filled and ready to leave the ship asap.

What is available for breakfast at 6:45 am or so?

Thanks for your great posts.

Steven

Times will be different daily. Watch your freestyle daily. Today, the scheduled arrival time always 7:00. Gangways opened at 6:50. Breakfast schedule

NOTICE: The Bird does not endorse smoking or vaping.

The Humidor on the Joy is restricted to cigar smoking. But the ash trays are filled with cigarette butts. The only place to smoke on the Joy is on Spice H20.

Not Bird, but I've sailed NCL's other ships.  I've never seen a brand of butter.  The butter I've had comes in ramekins with no brand marker.

I don't recall seeing anything on any pre-wrapped butter pats.

Could be I'm just not that observant, however.

Also not Bird (just a happy follower 😊) but I have seen the butter pats in in O'Sheehan's. I just googled it and I believe that these are it:

Grassland 200-Count Salted Grade AA Foiled Butter Chips - 4.25 lb.

The Local has a fresh new look. No more gloomy dark wood pub from the Sheehan era. On the Joy, it has a sleek, modern look.

Like her sister the Bliss, lifeboats on the Joy are stowed inboard enabling canal transits. This makes everything on Deck 7 very narrow. This includes The Local.

Hi, are all of the tables and chairs in the Local at the higher height?  I am very short!!

Yes, I saw your question and it was in the queue of things to research. Sorry that we’re not moving fast enough.

For those ships that sail out of Florida (to include the Escape from New York when she calls at Port Canaveral) provisions come from NCL’s central provisioning in Florida so products will be the same.

For fresh food in other ports, local provisioners may be used.

So,,,, let’s put an end to the great butter controversy.

On the Joy currently...

Concierge. It’s a new type of cabin class that has some, but not all, suite-like amenities.

I will be in the Concierge Family villa with balcony on the Joy in November, could you tell me if room service is all free?  And if you get a free Race on the go-carts like it used to get?  Also, did you get to go to the suite lounge at the port and be walked onto the ship?

Room service is not free

Go Karts are not free

You went to the general waiting room in Seattle. No escort in Seattle. They called Concierge first during priority boarding.

I thought I'd seen them all, but I have never seen a turkey! Especially one this cute. I only hope I can get one someday. I don't care what anyone says about towel animals. They make my cruises unique and special, and I will continue giving extra tips and asking for them each time. This little guy is adorable!
