Fishing poles

Hello,

 

I have a question about bringing fishing poles on board the ship for using while in port. I know the ship will hold them until we are in port but my question How would I package them? I dont want just hand over the poles loose.

Never tried it, but what about mailing tubes?

Maybe some pvc pipe with a screw cap on it, or they do sell fishing pole tubes. Good luck and tight lines....😀

Don't fish anymore, but I'd check the license requirements in the various ports.

Depending on the length there are adjustable rod carriers where you purchase your rods and tackle.

A piece PVC tube is another way.

If they are 3 piece Travel Rods , no problem at all .

Buy a rod tube.  Best way to go and not expensive. Pack the reel or reels in your luggage.

Buy a swim noodle... fits right over the pole... and it's about an inch of protection.  Works great.

yes, any tackle shop will have rod tubes. I carry a 6' telescoping rod, spinner and a few lures with 10lb test. As to licensing, I have sailed the Caribbean and most licenses apply to boats, not shore fishing. St.Thomas has no fishing license option

That's why you are better off fishing on the ship...
