Recent stay at EMBASSY SUITES

Hi! Have a few rooms booked at the Embassy Suites for November.  Has anyone stayed there recently? If so, how is the hotel, rooms, etc.?  See some not so great reviews lately. Thanks!

It is the one in Fort Lauderdale. I now it is mentioned one here a lot. I am specifically looking to hear from someone who has been there very recently.

We were there last March, no complaints.  Will be there again next month.

 

Most of the recent reviews on tripadvisor are good.

I have stayed there several times, my only problem is getting an elevator on cruise day.

I am Hilton Honor member and I stayed on the top HH floor.  I walked into the bathroom and their was urine around the toilet that was not cleaned.  I quickly cleaned it up so I would not gross out my friend.

 

Ninety percent of the plugs were not working except for the one in the desk lamp.  We stayed their around 12 years ago and the decor has not changed one iota.  The wear and tear was quite evident.  I changed my two other reservations to the Lago Mar resort which was  great, oceanfront and lovely.  Six dollar Lyft charge to restaurants.

 

BTW, I wrote on TA that it needed an intervention from Hotel Impossible show.

Curious if you said anything about this to the front desk, and if they did anything about it?

No I did not make a fuss about the urine or the plugs, we managed but never again.

What can one say about old outdated and worn furniture!

 

We were there from 4pm until 10:00 am on a Saturday night, the place was crowded and decided it was not worth the hassle.

My husband and I stayed there in June and it was fine.

My husband and a I will stay anywhere but the ES in Fort Lauderdale.  This hotel is not up to Hilton standards.

We were at the FLL Embassy Suites again a couple weeks ago.  No urine, electrical outlets worked, room was clean in every respect.  No the carpet and furniture are not new.  If that's what one wants, go elsewhere.  We travel a lot, and won't tolerate poor maintenance at a hotel property.  Yes the hotel needs some updating, but the ES FLL is still a decent property and we'll stay there again.

 

So there you go - "mixed reviews".....

We stayed on September 29th.  Saw no reason to complain or be dissatisfied whatsoever.  My DW is picky about room cleanliness and she saw not an issue. Loved its pool, location, room and morning free breakfast. Willdefinitely book there again.
