Casino Rate Hacks?

My husband got a ridiculous casino rate deal for $99 pp for a 14 day on the Pride Journey Cruise on Sunday. He can’t go, but is there any magic work around so I can go without him? Like he books but just doesn’t show up?

Can you post that please? Does your husband bet thousands a day?

Not at all! He’s pretty sure he’s never even lost any money in the casino. He usually spends a few hours in the casino on roulette or craps. I think he usually sets aside maybe $200 or $300 for the casino and if it’s gone that’s it. We really don’t know why he’s suddenly getting great offers unless Carnival has lots of empty ships. Rate code is O1H. 🤷‍♀️

The gambler must be on the cruise.  Otherwise you will pay the full rate.  Nice try!

I am going to be on this cruise.  Can't wait!

That’s what I found with some more digging. Guess I’m going to have to start gambling since I have a lot more flexibility to travel.😬

Not sure how the casino rate works. My wife plays the slots with max bet on whatever machine she plays. On our 4 day cruise in August, she played every day, about 2 hours each day. Came out ahead by $200. This was a four day cruise to nowhere with Dorian in the Bahamas.

Two weeks ago, she received a casino offer with a great rate on the cruise,  some onboard credit and free drinks in the casino for her. We booked the Sunshine for November 21st out Charleston, again.

Doesn't matter how much you win or lose.  It just matters how much money you put into play.

We cruise every other year and both of us spend around $1000 on a cruise in the casino.  Son hasn't cruised since 2015 and just got an offer for a $450 reduced rate plus free drinks in the casino.  The best we've gotten is reduced down payment and free drinks in the casino "After you qualify".   I love how that's always in fine print.

I got the same offer this past Wednesday AND a phone call from Carnival yesterday.  Sorry, but your husband has to go!

Funny part was that I booked this cruise at the full SOLO rate last year and cancelled in August due to things going on at home that I didn't want to miss during those dates.  Then this offer and came through and I'm still not going.

On the good note, I was on Pride on 9/15 and got a repeat casino offer and one of the choices was for the January Journey's on 1/5/20.....FREE cabin and Drinks on US for port charges only.

You never know when those last minute casino deals come through.  I took advantage of the old Pack and Go offers on Splendor  $75 for an 8 day from NY and they were less than a week before sailing.

Casino Rates are great . I am Platinum . Sadly my wife passed awhile back of Brain cancer , I met a lady who is now traveling with me who likes to gamble and has only been on one cruise this past NYE and we are getting some wonderful offers.   Neither her or I  lost that much but we did spend a lot of time in the casino that week . Just booked a 2 week panama cruise for a ridiculous cheap rate and it was her offer that got us the deal . Also Have New Orleans cruise that was almost free. Sometimes it pays to call the casino number they can check rates we don't see online .

1-866-299-5730 it comes on emails you get or I get . I call them directly or you can ask to be transferred to them when you call in . They are very knowledgable and will work hard to get you the best rate .

If I book a cruise with my mom who has a casino rate deal with free drinks on us, do I get those drinks too as a passenger in her room?

It depends on what casino rate or promo she got.  The Premier and Ultra cruises include the DOU for a second person in the cabin.  The repeat casino offers are USUALLY just for the person receiving the offer.

Carnival's casino department seems to be giving better offers to "newer" gamblers.  I used to get free offers on Carnival all the time.  My time/money in the casino has gone up since then, and my offers have gone in the opposite direction.  Enjoy the offers while they're there, but know that they could always disappear in a flash.

Does Carnival really offer 14 day cruises for $99 to small gamblers? My next question is why? they are so cheap

They offered us a free inside room on a 12 day Panama Cruise in 2021 . I converted that into an AFT extended balcony for a really good price like 2K for both of us so 1K PP which booking that on my own was about double that price . Plus a $200 OBC , I don't ask questions . I just say well ok .

Yes and people always win in the casino.

LOL  , we win , we lose . Last cruise  we did crappy until my wife hit 2 -5   card straight flushes on 3 card  poker that paid 200-1  on $10 bets. So that helped us get back what we lost and few bucks . But we have fun 🙂

Not that I'm complaining because I get amazing offers every month . . .but I don't understand how the offers truly work.  In August I booked a cruise for myself & husband and a friend who joined us.  Our friend had never sailed on Carnival and it would be on the generous side to say that he spent $100 total  in the casino on a 7 day cruise.   He got a Premier offer this month for a Free Ocean view room, $300 in Fun Play and Drinks on Us (for himself and a companion) .
