We are doing May 3rd RCI but 1st time from Port Canaveral. Flying in on the 2nd. Any suggestion for hotels in the area?

The four closest to the port are Homewood Suites, Country Inn & Suites, Residents In and Radisson At The Port.  The first three have free breakfast...the Radisson does not but does have a restaurant on site, a family restaurant next door and a McDonalds across the street.

You can either Uber from the airport to the hotel or contact Cocoa Beach Shuttle that will do evening runs to Cape Canaveral hotels.

Have a wonderful cruise!!

We used Go Port Canaveral last December and had a good experience.  We stayed at the Hampton Inn Gateway Village.  Cost of the whole thing (hotel and port transport to and from) on Go Port Canaveral was the same price as just the hotel would have been.  The hotel had a shuttle from the airport and they would also take you anywhere within 2 miles (I think 2 but maybe 5) of the hotel.  There were plenty of food options within walking distance as well (2 or 3 just across the parking lot).  Go Port Canaveral picked us up in a touring type bus the next morning and took us to the port, then to the airport when we returned.  Simplest stay and transfer we have ever had cruising!

No, different hotel. GoPort offers only a subset of the available hotels in the area.

Always double check rates. GoPort rates are often higher than booking direct. Sometimes (especially during busy weeks) they can be cheaper.

We decided to stay in Orlando at the Embassy Suites Orlando Airport for our cruise in Jan.  It is cheaper than hotels in the port area and they have a free happy hour nightly.  We enjoyed our time in the Embassy Suites in Ft Lauderdale, so decided to give it a shot in Orlando.

We are taking a shuttle to the port the next morning as the shuttle picks up at the hotel.

I think the "Gateway Village" HI is in Orlando, in the area where all the mid-range hotels hang out (Hyatt Place, Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard, etc.)   The Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach is an hour way in Cocoa Beach.  It's maybe 4-5 miles from the Port.  Lots of good dining around the area, easily walked to.  Not sure how the shuttle would work to there, as I always rent a car and stay at my friend's beach cottage at the South end of Cocoa Beach, by the historic downtown.
