I have not seen a solo deal in at least 5 years including this year

The deals are not promoted as "solo deals." However, there are deals where the rates are reduced enough to make paying the double occupancy affordable. There's a vacation site that shows single occupancy rates and you can check to find ones that fit your budget.

For instance, I just saw a 5 night cruise departing Miami on 1/30/21 for $328 (rate for a single) for an inside cabin. That's very affordable for a single.

They had a bunch of 138 x 2 dates on dream, all gone.

I got a rate of 199 x 2 for august, knowing I'd get cancelled, rate was higher on ccl then disappeared. They gave me a $20 price drop, haven't seen the $20 lol. So I'm at 450 for 5 day dream with taxes. There were plenty of cheaper rates further out but august i gambled will get cancelled. I could use extra obc if I book that panama cruise. 14 days

I got 5 nice bookings on rcl 675 to 1007, all nice. Total price with taxes.

I think my 7 day on carnival freedom is 638.xx with $100 obc to book early saver. Oct 7, I sure hope it's going. I'm not going to even count my august good deal on carnival, going to lose it.

The ones on rcl jan 2021 thru march 2022, including a pr, promenade view cabin and a corner aft facing balcony, both on liberty.

Covid deals, prices are good except those carnival panama canal cruises not moving down.... but yea prices are good right now. Now I have to cross my fingers I actually get to cruise those good deals. This might be the best time for singles, trying to take advantage. Now if I could just get a break on that 14 day oct carnival panama cruise.

Best time ever for solos.

When I started cruising in 2003, most of my sailings were solo, and I learned to book the "roomier" 1A cabins like #6393, 7345 and 8357 on Conquest class ships.  When Carnival changed to a 200% solo supplement, I started booking other lines if I was sailing solo.

I discovered those shiny little solo studio cabins on NCL, along with the studio lounge and dedicated NCL solo rep.

I discovered that a solo occupancy on some select Celebrity sailings like the Summit would cost me less than the Carnival rate.

I learned that other cruise lines can match Carnival in service, value, entertainment and food, and even surpass Carnival.

Carnival's solo increase made me use and enjoy the other lines, and now when I book a sailing (at least in pre-COVID 19 times) Carnival may be the last line I'll investigate, even with Diamond priority and cachet.  Carnival's boost to a 200% solo rate has cost them money, at least in my case, since I now enjoy Celebrity, MSC, NCL, and RCCL.

My casino offers make solo cruising affordable.

Free cabin (Offers vary for inside. oceanview and balcony)

Free drinks in the casino

I pay Port charges and taxes only.

I was on a  14 day Journey cruise in January for $323.00....not bad!

In January I cruised on the PANORAMA one week Mexican Riviera cruise for $239 DO . . . $478 SOLO on Carnival's newest ship for a week ! (the gratuities, port fees, taxes, and parking probably cost more ! )Can't beat that. I also snagged the 1A porthole cabin, always my favorite, and perfect for solo travel. Only negative it's so far forward it tends to be away from everything else. Had another one booked for August 15th for $20 more, but that was cancelled.😒

Of course. Deals can be found on most cruise lines.
