I really wouldn't mind if Royal cut back on the email messages!   The marketing hype really rings hollow right now.

I counted 12 emails from Royal last week.  They must be really desperate for deposits.  They won't be getting one from me for a while.

I moved my 5/21/20 cruise first to Aug 1, then to 5/1/21.   I won't be giving them any more money until the first cruise leaves the dock.

I get ZERO emails from Royal Caribbean!  I actually would like to receive emails and have said so but not happening!

If I get one that says my Dining, Drink, and other things will save me $200-$300, I am OK with it. However, I don't expect that until Black Friday

This seems consistent with what I hear and am seeing.   I somehow subscribed both my personal and work email.  My personal email, which is also registered with Royal on my file with them gets almost none, but my work email, which as far as they know, never has cruised, gets about 7-10 email messages a week. I finally unsubscribed that address. It use to be a fun occasional diversion, but now its just aggrivating.

I don't get emails from Royal either. However, the lacking emails from Royal are made up by the over abundance of emails that come from Celebrity.  I don't even open them. I just delete them.

We're not booked until December 2021, so other than the quarterly C&A newsletters, I rarely see anything from Royal, maybe once a month? Either that or I'm not noticing them while I scan through the "other" folder.

I was looking at a cruise for April 2022, but I'm waiting for that email advertising reduced deposits.  Should I not hold my breath?   I'm just not interested in putting down $900 for a stateroom so far out at this time.  🍷

I wouldn't count on a reduced deposit until they are in full swing again and I wouldn't book nonrefundable either.
