From my hotel balcony

Staying on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale for first trip since September 2019. 
 

saw an old friend sailing into port.

It's Silhouette...coming in to pick up crew and for vaccines? Several people inbound from Europe yesterday.

Yes. It’s Silouhette. When we came in from airport yesterday, there was another S class ship in port, as well as the Edge. 
 

sitting on my deck, I see another ship, a Princess, barely moving, all but motionless, a mile or so into the ocean. 

There is something both sad and exciting in seeing these ships this way.

That's what I was thinking/feeling looking at your photo.

We are still booked on Equinox for early August and actually had a conversation Wed evening about when or if to book airline and hotel...

How lovely that you can sit on your balcony and view all these ships.  We still have a travel ban here and can't go anywhere.  Our Silhouette cruise from Southampton kn Aug was cancelled.  So sorry, but we'll be on it another day.

There’s been a steady barrage of ships drifting in and meandering back out to sea. 
 

Today it’s the Summit. 
 

 

 

 

It’s so close to our balcony. If there were passengers, we could wave.
