Hi, Oh, yes, that pool dance party was quite fun🙂 and I enjoyed Silver Note as well.  I had dinner there one evening and on another night I went in later and just listened to the music.

Hey Lois thanks for the review!
Did you happen to go into the casino? My hubby really enjoys blackjack, hopefully they have a table or two for him to “donate” some money😀. Also, is there a place where people can dance in the evenings?

Hi, I went into the casino to look around and see what was offered. They have 2 Blackjack tables. Min bet 10.00, max is 100.00.  A craps table and a few slot machines. I never ended up there to play though.

I would say the Panorama Lounge would be the best spot for dancing.  You will have to look at the Chronicle to see who is playing what music and what time.

Thank you!

Have fun on the Muse next month! I look forward to your adventures in Alaska, and what you think about the two ships similarities and or differences.😀

Thank you so much Lois for your commentaries. We hope to be on the Muse next year in Alaska, so I look forward to hearing all about it. Especially - will you be able to walk around yourself after the ship's excursions? I know some lines are not allowing this in some places - am so confused with it all!

Wednesday? Are you sailing on The Moon?🙂

Oh yes, been building for this since we had the March Bermuda to Barcelona trip cancelled then the end August Italy trip cancelled. Having experienced the Muse we just couldn’t resist the Moon

Hi, I know...your signature says SF Bay area......I love SF😃......that is why I mentioned the time LOL

As for converting it? Nope........not anything I heard about or read about. There is actually no way to convert it to anything else.....there are couches/tables/chairs......inside and outside.  If it had been converted? I would be really upset that I missed it..........if Spins is reading this, maybe she can confirm it or not? I honestly never heard of anything in here being converted to something else.

I should say, I never asked about dinner in there either.....so if I am wrong about it, I apologize if I am giving incorrect information.

I noticed on the SS website it indicates the Arts Cafe converts to a cocktail lounge in the evening.  Perhaps with reduced capacity on the ship it wasn’t open at night during your cruise?  Also, still wondering if there’s coffee service in the Observation lounge in the mornings if anyone can report.

Hi,🙂 they have plenty of bar service......all day long if you want it. I recall the hours being into the evening but I never went after dinner.

I do remember seeing the hours in the Chronicle and thinking I should stop by at night but never did.  I guess I missed that part on the SS website but I know even during the day you could get a drink---the bottles were there behind the bar on the shelves.

Lois, I’m new to Silverseas and will be sailing soon (mostly Regent), really enjoyed you writing about your trip.  Thanks so much for taking a the time so others like me could learn and enjoy.  Looking forward to your next trip and can’t wait for ours to take place.

Arts cafe does indeed become a bar in the evening although underused at present because of numbers and other more popular bars around the ship.

We get our butler to get our morning wake up coffee from the Arts cafe as it is the best coffee in the ship.

Hi Julie,

Yes I am having a great time.

I  Rhodes today and its 36 degrees and humid.

Evian water flowing nicely.

Went ashore early had a sunbathe now in the gym.

Usual cocktail at the SALT Bar with Carlos making the best drinks.

Another Antigen test Tomorrow afternoon while we are on a sea day so nothing too hard.

Life can get back to some normality if our glass is half full.

Hope you get to move forward soonest.

Thanks for your response.  Very good to know.  Another question, there is a hot tub outdoors in the spa with what looks like a nice quiet seating area.  Do you happen to know if that is strictly for those who are having spa treatments?

Hi again, that one I CAN answer for you. I actually used that area once......no it is not strictly for those folks having spa treatments........I used it and did not have a treatment......it is quiet and really nice. This particular tub is actually in enclosed area all the way up front in front of the inside spa rooms.  I was only person there and one of the gals named Sasha chatted with me for a few minutes. You press a button and it makes the pool have those bubbles LOL........Sasha worked in the Spa area but it was not very busy so she showed me the area and stayed to chat. (which was fine with me)🙂.....she was actually on one of my bus tours.

Hi! Sorry to bring up masking again but I was wondering if they are required on the tenders? Also if doing a ship excursion are they required on busses? And also I was wondering how the Covid test is done for boarding… saliva or nasal or deep nasal? Thank you for all the great input you have already given.  I’m looking forward to boarding the Moon on Aug 7.

Hi, things might have changed since my sailing.....I think this is still my review LOL.......On my sailing, yes, if you were a ship sponsored bus tour they asked you to wear your mask on the bus (I though I had posted this earlier but maybe not).  How is the Covid test done? A nasal swab but no not a "Deep Nasal".  It was done more than just for boarding.........we had 3 tests. Before boarding, in the middle of the cruise and then the day before disembarking.  Maybe someone who is sailing now can give you an update on protocols happening now.   Oh as for tenders, there was not a requirement...some folks wore their masks and some did not.

Lois, quick question.  Bingo on the ship, is it traditional-like pay for your cards?  Or is it just an event like other games on ship and you earn points.

Hi, I cannot answer that one for you. Sorry, never play, never heard anything about it. Maybe someone who has will chime in...........

Bingo is just a game ... no money to play  ☺️ ... no money to win.  😕
