B2B Sideways cruise: How to prove covid test for next cruise?

i plan on taking Summit (miami) 10/26-10/30 then Edge (ft lauderdale) 10/30-11/6.

(Summit is free because MGM Platinum casino tier.)

 

I'm assuming i can get a covid rapid test on summit on 10/29 with the rest of the people who will do the summit b2b.

but since i'm doing a sideways, how do i prove to the Edge that i got a covid test?

You will be given your results after your test results are available, same as for intl travelers.

They are even accommodating some cruisers with side to sides on other lines.

We just completed a B2B pair.  Celebrity did the covid testing for the B2B passengers and those who needed tests to fly home on morning of the last day of the first leg.  We were given a printed copy of our test results on turnaround day.

We are sailing on Reflection on 12/4 -  12/11 and then on Symphony of the Seas 12/11-12/18.  We have been told by Celebrity that they will administer the required COVID test for us onboard Reflection and both Celebrity and Royal Caribbean have assured me if the test are negative they will be accepted by RCL for the Symphony sailings.

We are also doing a side by side in November. If you are within 3 days of sailing Celebrity will give you a complimentary test. You need to contact Guest Relations and explain your situation.

Any recent experience with this?  I have an FCC for MSC and discovered I can book a very low fare on Seashore departing Miami the afternoon I disembark Summit in April.

 

I suppose I could purchase (if available) the eMed test kit and take it with me to test myself early the morning of disembarkation.

 

Just seems like since I have to fly to Miami, I should use that FCC and get a nice 12-nights at sea rather than just 5.

I believe it's pay for play in your situation now, but available onboard the day before you disembark.  You should contact Celebrity to confirm and get price.  If it's a go, you need to inform Guest Relations as soon as you board to get added to the queue.

We were on Celebrity Summit Dec 21-26 and then transferred to Celebrity Reflection on Dec 26.  We filled out the guest questionnaire and noted that we were embarking on Celebrity Reflection and were tested no issue.

 

Celebrity changed their stance in November that if you had another cruise on a Royal Caribbean Group ship they would cover the cost of the test but not if you were going to a different line. 
 

At embarkation, there was a business that was set up to provide last minute tests for a fee.

I did this on a side by side cruise from Apex to Reflection in December.  No issues.  We got tested with the B2B folks.  As was said, they used to even offer testing when boarding other lines, but I think that has stopped.

Guess I'll contact Celebrity and find how much it will cost.  Probably cheaper to purchase a 2-pack of BinaxNow and take with me.  I've done those 3 times now, so now the procedure.

We just did a B2B on Millennium (Dec 13 - 27) and they tested the day before the second leg.  However, they did not give us our results - printed or emailed!  I phoned the Retreat Host and went to Guest Services and were told that they weren't going to give us anything unless we tested positive.  We met in the Rendezvous Lounge for turnaround and we were escorted off and back on - without any proof of negative test status.

Would do both.  Who knows what the rules will be then.  Right now self test kits not available.  Hopefully they will get rolled out soon.

No shortage of self test proctored kits from eMed or the ones purchased from Celebrity.
