Momma Rene Posted April 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2022 We have enjoyed on a few occasions a dinner with one of the officers. We found them very enjoyable. Does anyone know if they are doing it anymore post Covid?
emmas gran Posted April 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2022 Not happening at the moment, while COVID is around it doesn’t seem likely

They really don’t do that anymore in the traditional manner however we had a Royal Suite and had a wonderful lunch with many of the officers on Summit. We were in a Royal Suite on Silhouette last year (UK seacation) and had a similar lunch with officers in Blu. The food was good. The captain came and said a few words but didn't stay to dine with us. They gave us each a photo of the event.
TeeRick Posted April 5, 2022 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2022 The ship cannot put the officers at risk of quarantine and isolation (perhaps for part of two cruises) if one of the passengers at the dinner tests positive for COVID during the cruise. Then the other officers on the bridge would also need to be tested. Primary reason why they have suspended this.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted April 6, 2022 #7 Share Posted April 6, 2022 When traveling in an Upper Suite and often as a Zenith they have a lunch with the Captain and Senior Officers. You are always welcome to invite an officer to dine with you.

Holds zero interest for me but others seem to be all over it, whatever.

Just to meet her, maybe it would be good, she seems to be a very cool and accomplished person, with a fun personality though.
