Do you know if the drink package booked through BCC is limited to only the casino bar?

Negative, it's the regular drink package.  However, you do receive free drinks while playing so it is possible to be strategic, carry on some bottles of wine on board and play for a 5mins to get a drink and leave.

I just called and was told if it wasn't in the email it would only be  60% off!!! I will have to call back as i grabbed flights when I found them and now no cruise!  i have checked and there are plenty of empty cabins. Fingers crossed I get someone else on the next call.  😞

Celebrity only releases a limited number of cabins to the Blue Chip club for each cruise. Empty cabins are there to sell

Sadly my wife got the offer and I didn't. I could squeeze another cruise into my schedule of 8 in the next 6 months but she can't.

Call and ask them to check if you are eligible.  I got the email offer, my DH did not.  We called the Blue Chip Club with his Captains Club no.   They checked and he was eligible.  So we each got a room and asked another couple to join us.   On the Beyond.

I followed the suggestion to check the original list that was offered to people earlier.  The sailing I wanted was listed so I called back ,gave my CC# and told him which one I wanted. He checked and it was available but the cabins were all connecting on deck 9. He noticed that my sister rec'd the same offer and we are teavelling together so he booked her in the adjoining cabin. We each have a balcony cabin on deck 9 midship for the grand total of $131.85 each!!!!!  10 night on Equinox. The customer service was impressive and my call was answered on the first ring. Thank you to all the wonderful people who contribute their experience and expertise to their fellow cruisers.   😍

Side question, can you book a drink package through blue chip to get a larger discount that buying it on the cruise planner?

Yes.  You can get a 15% discount by purchasing drink packages through BCC.    I did so for my mexican riviera cruises and the BCC rep reminded me when he booked our caribbean cruise today.

I've never been on Celebrity and received a free veranda offer. I do have a cruise next year booked with them. The only casino "play" I have with them is I bought a discounted slot tournament entry for the cruise next year. Go figure

Wow. "Go figure" is right.

Several months ago, we got a BBC offer for the Mexican Riviera (which we booked) and recently received the one for the Caribbean.  I called and just made a booking the 8 night Eastern Caribbean Holiday on Reflection leaving on Dec. 23rd.  We upgraded to A1 for an additional $40/per day and scored a nice mid-ship location.  The other ones I wanted on the Apex or Beyond with the same itinerary were either unavailable or not part of the offer.  They do still have Apex sailings for Dec. 17th and 23rd but we have already been to those ports and wanted to try something new.  We haven't been on Reflection so that will still be new to us.  All in $656.76.

I received a similar offer in email 2 days ago.  I finally called this morning and that jerk on the phone said for this kind of offer you could not pay to upgrade to Aqua Class.  He had a real attitude on the phone.  We have a stateroom held for this cruise, Reflection on Dec 23rd, but looking at First Class airfare, we decided not to proceed with this.  We already have vacation travel for 2 weeks in early Dec, 3 weeks in January, the Mexican Riviera cruise in March, 2 weeks travel in May and 5 weeks travel in July/August and lots more towards the year end.  We just have too many trips lined up and we cannot justify spending another $5K+ on this cruise+air fare.

I'm sorry to hear this.  I have had varying experiences with the folks who answer the BCC number.  When I booked our Mexican Riviera cruise a few months back, the person was super friendly and helpful.  The person I talked to today had moments of snarkiness that I did not care for and she could use some training on how to be more courteous.  I had actually called back 30 minutes after I finished booking because I read on this thread that others were able to book on Apex or Beyond and was hoping to switch.  I got another person was very nice but the sailing I wanted either wasn't part of the offer or not available.  But then again, I have a feeling what is actually available, in terms of sailing dates, ships, and upgrades, depends on who you speak to.  As they say, YMMV

Hi there

I have a cruise coming up through a BBC offer, and I was wondering if the drinks are always free while playing in casino with these promotional offers? I wasn't told of this being the case or seen it written in any of the material I have received. Is this stated anywhere, or have you just had past experience?

thanks

It's BCC.  It's free for everyone (not just BCC offers) while playing, with that being said it's the classic drinks, generally top shelf stuff is excluded

Correct (while playing).

IF there is staff. I was just on the Edge for two weeks and they had no bartenders except one guy who had to man the bar itself. In short: During two weeks of being in the casino rather frequently there wasn't one single time when I've seen someone coming around around to take drink orders.  This was already advised to me during the "open house" hour on boarding day.

Some folks who wanted to drink got pretty annoyed by that and one person got into an argument with the casino manager, saying he wouldn't play anymore as no drink service was provided. Talked to him later on elsewhere, he's Amethyst.

Hi

Thank you. I wasn't aware of this. We generally only buy bottles of wine because we really aren't big drinkers. This is good to know since we do typically stop by the casino in the evening for a bit. Unfortunately, if what happened with Fly and Sail is the case, then no free drinks for anyone.

Did you get any idea if it was just a staffing issue for that particular cruise? I can't imagine any casino operating without any servers circulating throughout the venue. I could certainly see upset patrons, especially if they did have a drink package.

It's definitely cruise specific. Never had this problem before that there was really no service at all. New Years it was a bit slow but this month it was simply awful and unacceptable.
