Palm Court Gardens

Anyone got any opinion/experience of this venue. We didn’t enjoy our beach break when we were there this last April. Too much seaweed.  So thought this might suit us better. I found it on Viator and I assume the charge covers the use of sun beds etc.

As previously stated, this is the go to venue for crew as they receive a discount, so can let off steam etc., also Herds, plus those who wish to only walk and not pay for a cab.  Spaces limited, noisy etc., beds first come first served.  One may pay Viator, but that does not guarantee a bed.  Viator T&C state “subject to availability”, so if no bed, tough.

Seaweed appears after a period of bad weather offshore, so it can’t be predicted.  But usually happens out of season.

Take a taxi to the Marriott. A much better day experience.

I went to Palm Court Gardens last year when my ship docked there.  It was very nice. I walked there through town. It was a doable walk. I had a pass for the day and there was hardly anyone else there with me.  Very relaxing . There is a pool bar for purchase of drinks and food. The gardens are small but pretty. You have a great view of the harbor and your ship. The pool was very nice.Comfortable cushioned lounge chairs.

Sorry, one should have clearly stated in one’s post, the critique was based on a peak holiday period, not during a pandemic, with the venue attendance being restricted by ship/crew COVID orders, plus any island vacation protocols and potential visitors declining to travel.

Did you reserve your chairs and umbrellas directly through Palm Court Gardens?

Thanks in advance!

Their website say that they are closed for renovations, reopening in mid-  October

Twice…. First time thought ‘it’s one off bad experience, try again’ - Second ‘never again’ and left minutes after arriving.

Both were in peak season, maximum ships and pre COVID.

But many like it, being cheerleaders and regulars.
Everyone has there own ideas on what is deemed to be a genteel ambiance.

Ships, Towels and Herds do not frequent the Marriott.

I, too, have been researching what do do in St. Kitt's from a cruise.  I find this forum quite interesting and can see the "issues" with 1 day tourists who may or may not respect the area.  I am not in the "T'erd" class but do like do find something interesting to do in the ports for a few hours. I had been looking at Palm Courts as something near the port for a more "relaxing" and unhurried day after walking thru the port area a bit.  I also have looked at the Marriott resort pass, but as someone who frequents AI resorts other times of the year, that really doesn't interest me much.  The locality and lovely looking view of the cruise ship area seems ideal to me at Palm Courts.  Any input on the food/drink pricing at there in recent months? What I've seen online seems quite "touristy".

We did a day at Palm court from the cruise a few years back, the food was great.
The only thing which stops us going back is the place gets full with crew from the ships, and it became quite rowdy.

We were there over the Christmas/New year period, we bumped into the carnival parade which was amazing.

How does one reserve a spot on the beach with chair for the

There are no places where one can book an actual position, only a bed/s on a beach or resort.

I am looking at booking the day pass in March and looking for anyone that has been there lately?? Do they still let a lot of crew members use the property like port royal previously posted ? We are looking for a chill day and the gardens look beautiful

Last time one checked, think the crew entry fee discount was 100% on production of crew ID card.

So, crew have a choice, pay for taxi to beach and back, then pay for beds and/or use of facilities, or walk and enter for free.   Decisions, decisions.

More ships in port, which equates to more crew, therefore more decisions have to be made..

I've been at Palm Court Gardens twice. I love the place. I love the Marriott Day Pass also. Two totally different experiences both a great time.

If your looking for a very nice relaxing day at the pool having cocktails with a global clientele eating great food. Palm Court Gardens is all you. Views are off the chain!! Reserve your deck chair online for $11. Great deal.

If your looking for a great family day at the beach the St. Kitts Marriott it can't be beat. Great pool awesome swim up pool bar. One of the best true beaches in the eastern Caribbean. Atmosphere and vibe second to none similar to Palm Court Gardens just a different experience.

This thread have given one an idea for a collective letters for Ships (Crew), Herds and Towels.

Take the initial capital letters and construct - “S.H.T.”

I LOVE THIS POST!!

Any current or recent visitors to Palm Court Gardens? I've not read any recent reviews and was just wondering how things at the resort were going.

Best cocktail party in the Eastern Caribbean let's hope that didn't change. Thanks for any current info.
