Harmony of the Seas Suite Perks Question

I was recently in The Haven and am trying to compare Suite perks to a Grand Suite on Harmony.  I’ve read several things and know it isn’t going to be exactly the same.  One thing I can’t find, when you get back on the ship at a port, is there a special line to suites to get back on?  All I can find is saying when you first check in and board there is a special line, but what about at the ports when getting back on the ship?  That was one of the best Haven perks, when not having to wait in a line a thousand people long!

No special Q or line at any ports for any of the ships for Suites

Even if you are Star class, it’s one sometimes two gangways

I agree with what @PompeySailorsaid.

We completed an 8-day cruise on Harmony yesterday in a Grand Suite.

You will receive an email from the Suite Concierge with a list of the perks offered to you. This is from the letter we received 8 days prior to our sailing.

Our desk is in the Suite Lounge, located on Deck 17 aft. Our hours are 8:00 am to 11:00 am and 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm. We are also reachable via email, or by dialing our phones 26545 and 26552 from your Suite or any house phone.

While onboard, you’ll have access to the following exclusive amenities and services:

· The Suite Lounge is exclusively for Suite guests and accessible with your Sky Class SeaPass card.

. The dress code in the Suite Lounge is smart casual, so please make sure you pack accordingly.

. Coffee and tea are available in the Lounge throughout the day. Hors d'oeuvres, petit fours and complimentary wine, spirits, beer, and soft drinks are available for our Suite guests every evening from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

· As a Sky Suite guest, you’ll have exclusive access to the suites-only restaurant, Coastal Kitchen. Please refer to the Cruise Compass for the hours of operation or reach out to me for assistance. Reservations are required for dinner.

· Your suite is stocked with Malin & Goetz bath amenities, a Lavazza espresso coffee machine, bathrobes for your use onboard, and is furnished with a luxurious pillow-top mattress.

· Sky guests will receive complementary VOOM Surf and Stream services for one device per person for the entire sailing. Attached in this email are detailed instructions on how to connect your device. These instructions will also be in your suite upon arrival.

· Enjoy the exclusive Suite Sun Deck on Deck 17. Lounge chairs are available to suite guests on a first come, first serve basis.

· Sky guests are entitled to a reserved seating section in the Main Theater. Reservations are available once you arrive onboard, which I will be happy to assist you with.

· We are happy to offer our Suite guests Priority Departure. We’ll explain the details to you when you arrive onboard.

Was in a suite in Harmony in December. No long lines to get back on.  Maybe 5 minutes maximum at any stop.  Your mileage may vary.  The concierge did escort us (express elevator) to deck 2 to leave the ship.  Just ask and they will likely accommodate if they are both on duty.

Thanks.  I was afraid this would be the case with the lack of butlers, who normally do the escorting.

Escorting on Royal Caribbean is done by Genie's who are assigned only to Star Class passengers.  Sky Class, e.g. Grand Suites, do not get a personal butler/Genie.

For debarkation, the Suite Concierge does escort you to the gangway and to baggage claim, or at least our did yesterday.  It was very expeditious as he had us go through a dedicated security terminal leaving the gangway, had the terminal staff halt other passengers so we could move ahead to the escalator going down to baggage claim or the two dedicated elevators.

We came back from a shore excursion in Aruba at the same time as four other excursion busses and it took about 10 minutes to move through the line to get back on the ship.  Would have been a little quicker but someone dropped their sea pass card and a crew member had to stop people so he could go down and retrieve it off the pier for her.  Luckily it did not go into the water but fell through the net and onto the pier.

We’ve been Star class several times.  Never had a genie escort us back on.  I’m sure it happens, but it would be hard to coordinate and they all have several cabins of passengers to assist.  It would probably take more time to coordinate the meeting time than it would take to wait in the normal line in my experience.

I was speaking to embarkation day specifically.  Sorry if I was not clearer.

The concierge will walk you off past the lines to exit the ship at debarkation at the end of the cruise.

Of course they will and they will also take you to board the first tender if you're at a tender port stop. Ours just did in Cabo last month.

In general, there is no comparison between The Haven and RCCL Sky Class. RCCL is totally inferior. We have sailed in 4 Grand Suites (or above) since the restart and most recently were in The Haven in August. Yes, there is a suites lounge which we kinda just avoid on most ships since it does not provide any value to us. Yes, there is a suites restaurant, Coastal Kitchen, which is a glorified Main Dining Room... we dined there 6 of 7 nights on our last cruise and walked out twice because the food and service was horrid. The last time we cruised on the Harmony was pre-pandemic in a Grand Suite.

We just got off Harmony and found the Suite Lounge to be very comfortable and enjoyed having the free beer, wine, soda, and bottle water from 1100 - 2300 and except when Coastal Kitchen is open is relatively quite.  The view is nothing to speak of but the chairs were comfortable.

I have noticed there do seem to be conflicting information on what times the free drinks in suites lounge are available.

here for example, we have one person saying "free beer, wine, soda, and bottle water from 1100 - 2300"

and another person saying: "complimentary wine, spirits, beer, and soft drinks are available for our Suite guests every evening from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm."

Which is it? or is it different on different ships? we are going on the Ovation of the seas, quantum class ship.

Also, are drinks free when dining in coastal kitchen? or again is this just through the times that the suites lounge are offering free drinks? As I plan to eat there for breakfast lunch and dinner a couple of times each.

Thanks

The difference is “spirits”. Liquor is only available during happy hour.

Ah, so the 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm is the "Happy hour" at which nearly any drink is free. But the 11.00 to 23.00 you can get free beer, wine, soda, and bottle water?

If so, guess that works the same with coastal kitchen, that for lunch I could get beer, wine and soda for free, but for dinner within the happy hour I can get any drink I wanted free?

We were on Harmony over Halloween and we just took our drinks to the dinner table.  If it's during the 3 hour cocktail hour, the drinks would be free.  The 11-11 wine/beer option is only available on Oasis class and Quantum.  Happy hour only on Freedom/Voyager/Radiance classes etc.

Exactly and correct on dinner too.  Beer and wine free while open.  Liquor drinks free during happy hour only.  CK staff just go to SL bar to get the drinks so same whether eating at CK or sitting at the bar.

FYI.  You can get liquor drinks at other times so long as they are open, but you would be charged (or need a drink package, etc.).

You can go to the SL and ask for a few waters to go fyi.  We do this before ports

ect., or to keep some extra in our cabin.

I’ve never seen a line of a thousand getting back on a ship on any of my cruises.  Is this really a thing?

In Cabo, waiting for security and then tenders, an hour or so before all aboard.  Absolutely crazy.

We also are not fans for CK for dinner , we enjoy the breakfast and lunch, we only tried dinner there twice first was pleasant second was not , we now just buy UDP so we can eat in specialty restaurants, definitely prefer suite perks on celebrity and MSc yacht club.

We were on Quantum in August & September and there was no 1100-2300 in the Suite Lounge.  Free drinks in the Lounge on Quantum were only from 5pm - 8 pm.  Adult beverages ordered in Coastal Kitchen were not complimentary.
