It is not appreciated that some find it cute to make fun of a poster who is trying to get a point across. Those who book the yacht club expect a certain standard. They are paying 5x the price of a regular balcony and expect the little extras that come with that price. Ditto for those who book the Celebrity Retreat cabins. Those are around 4x the price of a regular balcony. And they also expect more for those class of cabins.

MSC advertises the Yacht Club to be a cut above the regular cabins on their ships. Then they need to staff those rooms up to that standard.

Flame on.....

I believe OP's post was tongue in cheek, so the laughing emoji was appropriate

Hey at least you got hand towels. Our last cruise he forgot to replace them. He was a bit embarrassed when we asked him. Especially after telling us he is working hard to move up to butler status.

It deserves a refund and a complimentary booking in the best suite on the ship (being met at the YC check in and  escorted by US federal authorities could be arranged).

Are you familiar with the OP's ongoing complaints with MSC and threats to make all staff miserable on board ship?

Glad you brought that up.  I did bring up my downgrade from YC GS to a regular balcony on deck 8 with no reduction in fare to the concierge who got me a face to face with the hotel manager. He was actually shocked himself and did not believe it until he saw proof .

Told me to not let it go as they realize they have issues and did in the past and they are trying to get people to handle to things in a better way than the current system going forward.

I did find a bottle delivered to my room😁.

Back on topic, I did post the pic partially as humor but travelwide is not wrong.

My room came with upgraded linens and towels and premium booze. I payed much more for those things and I should have them.  MSC oversold the sailing knowingly. Even YC director said he needs 2 more Butlers and cannot get them.

Wait, what? You were booked in a YC GS, then downgraded to a regular balcony outside of the YC, and they didn't compensate you? If you were booked in the GS, how did that booking change? Confused.

“Butler” seems like a stretch to me- I had a very good room attendant.  Room was cleaned 2x a day to perfection.  Nothing more…. Tried for pizza delivery one time, took an hour and got the wrong pizza.  That’s the full experience!

If you want a towel with a Yacht Club logo on it, you have to wait until you get home like every other former Yacht Club guest. 😁

Oh man, first time in YC and didn’t think to grab a souvenir !!!

There is way more to the story that this simplified version and, please, do not get sucked in to the drama.

There is a reason for the matter in which the OP's post being responded to by frequent readers of the MSC forum.

No they did not compensate and outright ignored CLIA and T&C.

Got a lawyer involved as well.

Our ship was given to a full charter salsa group cruise because theirs did not make it during Covid.

They needed everyone to cancel so they messed with some of us,not all and, instead of giving us the opportunity to choose a similar sailing with a 1 category upgrade but make us miserable less than a month before sailing.

it appears only those of us in GS or RS were bullied because for me GS to RS is very costly to them.

Oops! Sorry! LOL!

Actually that is not the only time. We have coming up a very large family cruise that we have over a dozen cabins booked (16 I think) 4 of our rooms were switched so now they cannot hold 4 or connect.  There are only so many rooms in the enclave that can hold 4 people.  We booked all 8 connecting rooms originally and have confirmation.
