Yep...gotta call (or possibly chat.)  You can cancel all sorts of other things pertaining to the cruise such as dining reservation, specialty dining, excursions...but the cruise itself requires a direct "conversation" with Princess.

An email to your pvp, if you have a good one, also works.

If it is a cruise on hold and you want to get rid of it, the Chat feature on Princess.com works as long as someone is home to answer.

In our experience

we have used “chat” feature to successfully cancel a princess cruise, twice.
