I think I am going to raise the question why.  As i have said before I can understand their having Family Hours in cold weather itineraries but it makes little / no sense to me why they would have it on this cruise.

They probably have to sign up in preparation for the upcoming Alaska cruises.

We had lunch at Sushi on 5 and enjoyed it.  I have found a new favorite cool and refreshing drink that may replace the sidecar.  It is the Gingertini from Sushi on 5.

My DW ordered the chicken gyoza and I ordered the sashimi salad for mine

I have no clue what one needs to do to find inside seating at OVC.  Maybe someone else can enlighten us.

I enjoyed that bird park today, quite well done and many animals. You would pay considerable money as entry fee in other destinations for this, here you just had to get off the ship.

Taxis wanted $20 to go to old town. I declined and got an UBER for $2.50. Little stroll and a Starbucks in the Old Town then back to the port (again with UBER) for a bit more peacock watching.

Oh and… as hot as it is today plus this being an Industrial port, you couldn’t pay me to get on the helipad today. Must be hotter than a frying pan!

I have not seen anything, but then again I have not been looking, regarding Chef’s Table.

We cancelled Petit Chef. Just could not convinve myself it was worth it.  Doing the Vueve Clicquot Dinner instead.

Good choice! And more  great photos for the rest of us!

Good morning.  This morning’s breakfast food porn is brought to you by room service.

As you can see we used the ‘seats’ at the end of the bed to form a table.  It worked but the fruit plate had to be set aside.

Thank  you.  I was hoping that was not how it was served as we did not like it the last time it was served that way.  Whole Foods has really spoiled us when it come to Tiramisu.

Curious to know what the Mrs think about Sushi on 5 foood. You’ve mentioned she’s Japanese right?

Yes she is Japanese and she says it’s ‘not bad’ and for her that’s a compliment.  She measures it by the sushi in Japan which she says nothing outside Japan can match.

I concur with your better half. Hence why I’m not often eating sushi or sashimi outside of Japan. I guess I could do something like a California Roll which isn’t really Japanese anyway so no damage can be done.

The taste was good, Presentation struck me as odd. I’m not a big fan of using common household items as container to serve food in a fine dining environment.

Next they’ll hand you a pair of gas cans at the Martini Bar. Not that I’d object to a 2 gal Espresso Martini.

Wish we had thought of taking an Uber.  We talked about getting a Starbucks coffee cup for our collection.

I very much relate to the “not bad is a compliment” in Asian culture.

The joke is not wrong. A means Average and B means Below Average.

Nothing wrong with instant ramen made in the plastic bag with two straws served as chopsticks. If that’s too college dorm to you, cafe Al Bacio serves to-go iced cocktail in a paper cup.

Well that was a first!

My wife and I were relaxing on our balcony and our stateroom attendant finished cleaning the room and stepped out to make sure we did not need anything.  We assured him that everything was great. He left and we continued to talk to each other.

My wife got up to get something from the room only to find the balcony door locked. Apparently out stateroom attendant had locked it from force of habit when he closed the door after speaking to us.

Fortunately we are on the starboard side and I was able to shout and get the attention of a crew member on the dock who contacted our stateroom attendant.  A very embarrassed young man came and let us back into the room!

The first time we were on a M class we locked our selves out.  It is easy to do by pulling on the handle inside instead of using that little notch on the outside to close the door.  It is a bad design.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Oh, that brings up a question.  If this happened at sea, how would you contact anyone to let them know?  The more I thought of that the more I kept coming back to ..I would post something here and hope my fellow passengers who were following along would call someone for us.

How were you able to get back into your room?

One of these? Had I known I would have picked one up for you. Since my bag doesn’t have a single cm3 of space I just took a photo which shall suffice. 😁
