Princess Email for Dining Requests

Does Princess have an email address for passengers to contact pre-cruise for dining requests for the Majestic? We were able to contact the maitra’d before our Royal Caribbean cruise last year and would like to set something up for a retirement dinner in a specialty restaurant on our upcoming Majestic cruise.

How did you contact a MD (now the DRO) on a ship?  Sounds like you must have had their personal email address.  Or is RCCL more "open" about this?

All we can do is contact Princess DMW help if reservation process is not working and they may or may not be able to help.  If you speak with DR Mgr at the SD you are interested in soon after boarding, you should be able to get something arranged.  On Day 1, they often have someone posted at each SD for inquiries and reservations.

In the olden days, not that many years ago, the maitre d' would hold office hours on embarkation day to sort out passenger dining issues, typically folks who were not able to get a scheduled dining assignment when they booked the cruise, would visit the main dining room (MDR) that the maitre d' would set up shop in, and would then work with them to get squeezed into scheduled dining.  It was also the place you went if you were in a scheduled dining time that you didn't like and wanted it changed.  I can't imagine that embarkation day was all that present for the maitre d' having to tell a bunch of folks that they can't move their dining time or that traditional dining is full and they will just have to live with Anytime Dining.

But for what you want Speciality Dining, all you have to do is set up a reservation through the Princess app.  Or, if you don't want to do that, you can call the dine line when you get on board and they will get you a reservation to the specialty dining of your choice.

Demand for specialty dining venues varies from cruise to cruise and the clientele that composes who's on board.  We did an Alaska cruise many years ago where Sabatini's and the Crown Grill were nearly empty most evenings.  We did an Eastern Caribbean cruise a couple of years later and could barely get any reservation for dinner in either restaurant.  No telling what your cruise will be like, but what is key is know how many guests need to be accommodated and book it now through the app or book as soon as you get on board.  I don't think you'll have any difficulties either way.

Thank you.  Trying to book for a party of 10 and having issues with the app.

Actually, in my experience that went quite well - not only for me, but for others who appeared to be getting resolutions while I was waiting my turn.  If worse came to worse, they could make a TD type block in the AT section.  What we need is DR Mgr's doing this now as DMW cannot handle it with programming logic (almost impossible to be done).  And they are helping folks out these days in most cases it seems.

But that is the App in a web version.  I am thinking you are looking in the wrong place.  Try the URL above??

Once you enter your booking number into the app, the web version won't accept it.  It's one or the other.  No switching back and forth.  Princess IT at its most helpful again.

There was, pre covid, on RCCL & CCL email addresses for the current Maitre’d of the specific ships that you could send pre cruise a special request. Not sure if they still exist.

Never have seen this for PCL.

FYI...I've never been able to book for 10.  If I'm not mistaken, 8 is the largest table size that shows in the app.  I'm not saying they don't have tables for 10, or that they will not accommodate you...you'll just have to go through some extra steps, most like once on board as others have suggested.

It is pretty strange tthen hat I successfully switch back and forth between the web version and app.

I was able to make reservations for our family of 8 in the Crown Grill for June cruise.   Just needed booking numbers for all guests.
Could be the number of guests, bookings not paid in full or Status.
