Dress to impress is just another way of saying a formal night. But dressed as fancy as you'd like or more on the smart casual side whatever your most comfortable with. Princesses switched over to the dress to impress nights since the restart.

our local "Winghouse" has dress to impress nights... I'm all for it on Princess

Whatever that would like to title it, as long as they provide some better food on those nights and don't force people to dress up to eat in the DR, I'm all for it. 😁

As first time Princess Cruisers from the UK, our eyes were certainly opened to the majority of Passenger's interpretation of “dress to impress” on our recent Regal Cruise round the UK. 😂
