Does Hollad America Offer Whale Watching Tours in Cabo San Lucas Port ?

We have a cruise booked for  early Dec 2024  in to the Mexican Riviera  .Can we book a HAL whale watching tour from the ship on a tour boat?  Was it exciting to see the shales up close ?

We found a private tour highly recommended if HAL does not offer a whale watching tour for our cruise ,Cost $73 pp fpr 2 hours whale watching

Have you looked at the HAL website for whale watching excursions?

oops, thought your cruise was this year, HAL won't have tours listed for 2024 yet, but you could look for a 2023 cruise that ports in Cabo, our Koningsdam cruise, leaving 11/25/2023 does have a tender stop in Cabo.

Also check out private tour operators. We had a wonderful whale watching tour some years ago with Whale Watch Cabo. Saw many whales, and followed a mama humpback as she taught her baby how to breach. Just an amazing thing to see. It was in early February iirc. Hopefully “early December” won’t be too early.

Guess you'll have to check private excursions for an option.

Cliff (OP) I was on the Koningsdam just as you were in December last and there were whale watching excursions by HAL.  I did one and frankly don’t expect much.

 

Far better off to walk off the dock and take one of the smaller boats that give you great sightings.  It was night and day.  I was in Cabo 3 times.  Did one HAL excursion (sighting but barely).  Great sightings on our small boat we signed up for.

 

No need to book in advance - tons of boats.

That's a bit early for whale watching. The first couple of whales will just be arriving.
