Short walk from where the shuttle drops off to the Livorno C train station then 5.8€ rt to Pisa C. Walked to tuttomondo (Keith Haring c1989) off to the tower area (too crowded) finally off to some old walls before wandering back there way I came (-> Pisa C -> Livorno C -> shuttle). Thinked I only logged 5 mi

Very easy relaxing day today in Livorno. 

 

We had breakfast and then Debbie did laundry while I went to the Fitness Center.  I had a reservation with an elliptical machine! 

 

We then took the ship's shuttle into town and walked around.  I ran into Nicola while Debbie was deep into her "craft." 

 

 

 

 

Notice the husband's waiting in the designated "Husband Waiting Area"

 

 

Last I saw of Debbie she was going into H&M.  I returned to the ship and went immediately to the International Cafe for lunch!

@LACruiser88  Thanks for the detailed info for the bus to Florence. Had a wonderful experience with the bus company and an amazing day in Florence.  On board bus just departed Florence at 4:05, 5 min after scheduled time to wait for a lady who unfortunately did not make the bus departure.

I just ran into the Loyalty & Events Host, the cut-off for the MTG Luncheon was 1,045 sea days for this voyage.

@Ombud glad to hear you did 5 miles. How long it took for you to walk to Livorno Central station from where the shuttle dropoff? Surprised it was a short walk 🤔. Our bus ride was about 10-15 mins.

Tonight's extra dish in the Reserve Collection Dining Room was Veal Cannelloni.  They had one of my favorite dishes tonight, Szechuan Shrimp.  I mentioned how much I liked it and they brought me a "Hungry Man" portion!

 

It was delicious and I finished the whole thing!  Btw, no dessert tonight.

Yikes!!! We’d have to cruise about two years straight to make this cut-off number.

Agree with you completely! We were on the Regal in Sept/Oct for the British Isles/TA cruise and there were so many people we saw hacking into the hands and then grabbing serving spoons for food in the buffet.  We washed our hands before going into the buffet and I brought hand sanitizer that we used after getting our food and before eating.....Sadly I still got COVID.  I was good and stayed in our cabin for 5 days.  My husband never got it luckily!

A few years back, we were on a TA where the cut-off was 1,250.  It makes you realize that there are lots of folks in the 1,000+ club!

This happens to us every single cruise, always on the first day of the cruise or just a day ahead, and once on board they have no idea what triggers the onslaught of emails.

Going to be a bumpy night! Captain just advised we will have 40 kt winds, seas of 4 meters tonight. 

 

It was also a bit bumpy last night.  We do not mind it when it's bumpy while we are horizontal!
