Rare Shippy Posted December 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2023 On the blog for my particular cruise, people are already booking the 360 dining experience. Not sure but I assume they are paying. We are in a suite & the app wants me to pay the full price. I have spoken to 3 different people at Princess. 2 say it is no longer a suite perk. The third says to wait until you are onboard. I want to assume the first 2 people are wrong. My issue about waiting until we are onboard is that I want the early dining. We are old & can not eat late.. I know seating is very limited & if I wait until we are onboard, all the early dining slots might be gone. Any advice ?? Book, pay and reserve your spot if you're that worried. Then speak with suite concierge about having price refunded, if it still actually is a suite perk.. Otherwise, wait til aboard and sort it then..
TRLD Posted December 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2023 Was it ever listed as a suite perk? My understanding was that when it first rolled out it was free by invitation only. Those invited included Suite passengers, Casino big spenders, and some Elite. This was done during a trial period when it was first introduced and when they were getting all of the bugs worked out and getting an understanding of how it was received and perceived. Now that initial period appears to be over and it has moved to being a charged for service, that anyone can purchase. Have not seen anything that indicates that it has or is a suite perk. The 360 is listed on each of my print summaries. (Under the luggage tag/print summary). Although I could book my Included Speciality Dining, I could not book the 360 in advance. ggprincess2004 Posted December 27, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2023 We were not able to book the 360 in advance, and are in a suite. No one from Princess contacted us, and the app would not let us make a reservation, let alone have any of the specialty dining options available. We will speak to the concierge as soon as we get on board.
Rare JGmf Posted December 27, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2023 We're in a suite for late February cruise. We have the 360 listed in our travel summary as well. I tried to book it via the app, but yes, it had the fee. It's the same stupid snag that also causes the app (and website) to charge you for your gratis specialty dining meal on night one. To get around that, I called the dreaded phone line. I guess I should/will call them too for the 360 experience.
Rare Shippy Posted December 27, 2023 Author #7 Share Posted December 27, 2023 We do NOT have it listed in our summery. We sail first week of February. But, I just went on the Princess site & it is listed there a suite benefit.
Rare hllwdcruiser Posted December 27, 2023 #8 Share Posted December 27, 2023 From my experience just now on the Enchanted, I think suite guests are invited to fill available empty spots. Some people at our dinner had no idea what it was or why they were invited. I don't think you have to worry about it filling up for your entire cruise, most people we spoke to onboard had never heard of it.
DiRonT Posted December 27, 2023 #9 Share Posted December 27, 2023 Asked my TA to call Princess to see if they would accept a reservation for full suite passenger and she was told we would have to wait until we were onboard.
