Rare cruisewithwife Posted January 1 #1 Share Posted January 1 So I have organized and participated in Slot Pulls and we have always used a $1 machine. As anyone ever done a slot pull on a penny machine? I realize your winnings could have cents but we can donate that to St. Jude's. There seems to be so many more bonus opportunities on a penny machine.
firefly333 Posted January 1 #2 Share Posted January 1 I would ask on your roll call as this always seems controversial to me. If the slot pull organizers card is in the machine they can gain a lot of casinos pts. Very good for the organizer. I think each roll call needs to decide if they want 1 or more.

As long as everything is decided beforehand and everyone agrees to it then it can turn out well. I personally have never participated in a slot pull but I have seen them in the casino before and they seem to be enjoyable for those participating.

May1cruiser Posted January 1 #6 Share Posted January 1 (edited) For our upcoming cruise this month. the organizer is from Canada and is not subject to US taxes. Let see what the outcome looks like. This is $10 per spin and $100 buy in. Edited January 1 by May1cruiser

The points are negligible and whose ever card is in the machine will be responsible for any taxes
ngrund Posted January 2 #8 Share Posted January 2 Ones i have been in, it was agreed in advance that 25% would be kept to account for taxes
Normal 1 Posted January 2 #9 Share Posted January 2 In the pulls I have participated in, we used Dollar machines with a $2 or $3 max bet. Penny machines typically have higher max bet ($8.88 on many of them). I think the odds would be better on a Dollar machine. Casinos make their money on penny machines.

If you have more than $10,000 in currency, no matter the format, you are responsible to declare to Customs.
teknoge3k Posted January 3 #11 Share Posted January 3 I have never attended a slot pull where it was ran on a $0.01 or $1 machine and we've done many slot pulls and organized them many times as well. Every single slot pull we've done has been on a $5 machine (with a $20 buy in) and each participant gets 4 turns. That seems to be the consensus of what most people have wanted. The organizer typically uses his/her card. You don't get that many points from it, but it's a lot of work organizing it so it's fair for the organizer to get those points.
