Rare Essiesmom Posted January 11 #5 Share Posted January 11 Signs say not allowed…but you will see folks there with kids obviously wearing diapers under their suits. Not approving at all. EM
Rare Ottawa_Cruiser Posted January 11 #6 Share Posted January 11 The only cruise line that I'm aware of that allows kids in swim diapers is Disney.

Fecal matter closes down pools and requires serious steps. Even with hot tubs etc-- and adults - they have to address the pee in the pool problem. 😱 I recall reading about the strong chlorine smell and reaction to urine

Shutting down, cleaning, and refilling a pool on land is much simpler than doing the same on a ship. Cruise ship makers can design areas where swim diapers can be allowed but if those areas aren't present, the swim diapers aren't allowed.

If you take a blow up paddling pool for the children to splash about in, it will save embarrassment when asked to vacate the main pools 😊

deliver42 Posted January 13 #15 Share Posted January 13 While the parents of a toddler may enjoy having the toddler with them in the main pool, if there's an accident, which will likely happen, then the rest of the passengers have to suffer for quite a ling time while they drain, sanitize, and refill the pool. Not fair to the passengers without children, or who's children are in the children's area.

Rare Essiesmom Posted January 13 #17 Share Posted January 13 I believe all pools on MSC are 2 meters deep except for the kids pool area. On Seashore the Infinity pool is shallow, but it is adults only. EM
