Bringing pop on board

Can you bring 12 or 20 ounce bottles of pop on board?

Or does it have to be cans?

I've brought on 1 liter Dr. Pepper bottles (2) in San Diego on the Grand.

No question, no problem. I've done the same in Sitka, Ak. on the Crown.

Rather bring "pop" than mom.  Easier to sail with.

Although they publicize cans only, we have never been questioned about having bottles.

Do you mean as in "I never drink anything stronger than Pop.  But Pop drank just about anything"😁

Umm--huh??  🙂.  I've never heard the term "pop" to refer to soft drinks.

Yes, I'm aware. Was only describing the process so others would know what to expect. I have no reason to smuggle on beer as we have the drink package but prefer Pepsi over Coke.

 

Side note -- years ago sailing from Galveston you could bring on beer. Slap on a luggage tag and they'd deliver it your room with the luggage 😀

It's a regional expression in the US. The northern-midwestern states like to call soft drinks pop, while the east and west coasts US calls them soda.

And pretty much all of Canada refers to soda or soft drinks as “pop”.

Each person can bring on one case of pop/soda/coke, etc.  A "case" is considered 12 cans. You can only bring Cans. No plastic or glass bottles are allowed.
